TLDR Go now. Bring cash. Took my friend here just after she returned from Portland. She said they beat Voodoo Doughnuts.(Disclaimer: she waited an hour in the sleet for Voodoo.) Dom’s doesn’t do maple bacon pineapple cayenne shampoo etc doughnuts, but they are absolutely TOPNOTCH for any of your standard cake or yeast doughnuts. The place is 24 hours and one of my best life moments involves walking in one evening to find hot doughnuts being dipped in chocolate. Guys, that moment happens *every*single*night* at Dom’s. You could be missing it right now. What are you waiting for? Go now. Just don’t forget to take cash ’cause they have the doughnuts so they set the rules and the rules say no plastic.(In an emergency, they do have an ATM so you are always only one ATM fee away from bliss, whatever the situation in your wallet).

I LOVEDOMBAKERY! Best doughnuts in town! Even though it’s a few miles out of the way, I will definitely drive that if I’m craving a doughnut! I like how they offer cakey AND fluffy types of doughnuts. So you can choose which one you want depending on the mood you’re in. It’s in an old ish building and the looks aren’t that great… BUT trust me the doughnuts are amazing and good price too with it like a dollar a doughnut. I also love how they’re open 24⁄7!!! I definitely get cravings at night! They don’t accept cards but that’s okay! They’re amazing! Go go go!

Absolutely the best! Cake, donuts, cookies, apple fritters… They are all amazing! My favorite is the iced fried cinnamon roll topped with maple icing and chopped peanuts. YUM! The employees are super friendly, very helpful. Cash only, but there is an ATM in the lobby.

I mean, this place gets best bakery in Michigan award just for being open 24⁄7. How can you go wrong with sweets? I usually come here for the croissants, but I’ve had a couple donuts too. They’re always warm and fresh and delicious. The place visually is definitely a let down, but I have a soft spot in my heart for hole-in-the-wall locations. If décor is a big deal to you, I guess find somewhere else, but if you’re here for the food, you’re in the right place. Cash only!

An unpretentious little gem. If you are here for the romantic café ambience, you might have to keep on looking. However, if you desire some Fluffy soft donuts with a cup of good coffee, make this your stop.

The good part you just can’t eat one. The bad part you just can’t eat one… Lol. Their donuts are one of the best.

I haven’t gotten to try a ton of things here yet, but what I’ve had is wonderful! I always get a glazed donut at every donut shop I try, and theirs is ESPECIALLY good. Nice and fluffy, but still pretty light. The blueberry cake donut was also super tasty. The only other thing I’ve tried so far was a cheese danish, which was pretty average tbh. Seemed like something you could buy in a store. My favorite thing, though, has been their coffee! They put the perfect amount of cream and sugar in it and it just goes so perfectly with their donuts. Sometimes I swear it even seems to taste a bit donuty!

Dom’s is my go to place for fresh donuts at any time of day. They are really serious about their donuts and even make them throughout the night so whenever do you end up showing up you can get a fresh donut right out of the fryer. Last time I visited I was able to try an apple cinnamon donut that was just out of this world. Fresh donuts have this soft airy almost ethereal texture and taste completely different from ones that have been sitting at room temperature. That’s not to say their donuts aren’t just as good though. Favorites of mine include the blueberry donut, the apple fritter(bear claw), chocolate glazed chocolate donut(cause you can never get enough chocolate), old fashioned, and the classic plain donut. Dom’s makes a real run for best donut shop in the AA/Ypsilanti area and is well worth the drive. Get the box of dozen donuts — trust me, you’ll have a tough time choosing just twelve and you’ll be able to enjoy them for days!

Few things in the world are better than fresh donuts. I mean, everyone living on this earth should be able to say that they have had a donut, still warm and gooey from the fryer. The problem is that fresh donuts are a hard thing to come buy. Most donuts you buy at a bakery have been made at 4−5am that morning, and have been sitting out for a few hours before you eat them. Doms is one of the only places that I have found in MI where you can get fresh donuts. Just come from 8pm-10pm, and ask for the freshest donut they have! This makes for an excellent dessert.

In the land of chain donut places like Dunkin Donuts and Tim Hortons, Dom’s is King. For me, Dom’s is a solid 4.5 star. I love local family-owned businesses, and those that create such amazing products(not just donuts mind you) for such a great price hold a special place in my heart. Not only does Dom’s cater to those with an impromptu donut craving, but they do it 24 hours a day! This alone reserves their spot in A2/Ypsi food lore. Sometimes you just get a hankering at 11PM that can only be satiated by a cream long john from Dom’s(don’t act like this has never happened to you before). They offer a drive-thru, which is convenient for those who don’t want to be shamed by walking in looking like they just woke up from a hundred year hibernation. So no to the chains and go to Dom’s!

As far as a hole-in-the-wall local bakery goes this place is spot on. They have great donuts and cakes at really good prices. However I was pretty displeased with the physical status of the place. I get it, it’s a bakery. But it’s clear that they don’t have enough space to store all of their supplies as it has spilled over into an already crammed lobby. Normally this is something I would look past for a place like this. Locally owned and operated and offers great products. Until I see something as egregious as storing cleaning supplies near baking supplies. Whether this was a makeshift storage location or not is not relevant. This is a serious issue and something that I was appalled to have seen. Aside from the severe untidiness of the store, if you’re just looking for a tasty sweet, they dinfitely have them. Consume at your own risk I suppose.

I am not a cop so what do I know but I have tried what was SUPPOSEDLY the best donuts in the country and Dom’s make these places look Iike they are making fried dung rings by comparison! I drive across Washtenaw county to come here and the donuts are more than worth it. I have never tried the coffee nor drive-thru so cannot comment(those cars look rather dodgy) Where is my coach gun? If you want to eat better than DD, come get some donuts here! Prepare for awesome! Enjoy and live LARGE!

Best goddamn donuts in the world. Their cupcakes and cinnamon rolls are outstanding, too. Tip: try the sour cream glazed donuts, and I personally think their red velvet donuts are good but maybe a waste of time. Around Fat Tuesday they make paçkzis, which are also incredible. Cash only.

Out with the nephews, had to stop in and get them a few donuts. My nephew noted that they could«clean up the place». Then he bit into a chocolate frosted. Silently nodding, he said, «doesn’t matter». Cash only, but donuts are so cheap you can get a donut for under a buck. If you don’t want to see the inside, drive thru is always open. 24 hours, people.

Oh Dom’s, oh Dom’s, how I love thee! If you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth for fresh, yeasty donuts, cake, or muffins, Dom’s is your place. My favorite donut hands-down is the chocolate iced ring donut. The old fashioned glazed, figure 8, and red velvet donuts are not far behind. I also love that they have an assortment of cupcakes and sometimes if you’re lucky, you can catch them when they have cake slices. I love when they have strawberry cake slices available, which aren’t are often as I would like but since it’s a specialized flavor, I understand. The only thing that I don’t like is that they are cash only which is somewhat of an inconvenience. They do have an ATM inside to help alleviate the inconvenience but it’s an inconvenience, nonetheless. All is all, Dom’s is a solid bakery and I’m sure I’ll continue to frequent it going forward.

Donut perfection. I put in a phone order and Dom had my donuts boxed and ready to go right when I walked through the door. I’m one of the cofounders of the Michigan Law Donut Society — a *very* official student group — so I take my donuts pretty seriously. Dom blew me away. The custard-filled chocolate glazed? Delicious. The blueberry cake? A master-class in texture and taste. Even the plain glazed was a crowdpleaser! We will absolutely be back. Such a step up from Tim Horton’s or Washtenaw Dairy. Treat yourself to some Dom’s!

Apple fritters, apple fritters, apple fritters. I’ve tried many of the donuts here– all delicious– but there’s nothing that quite beats this chewy, fruity confection. All the prices are reasonable, but I think they do have some sort of cash policy so make sure you have a couple bills on you just in case. Since this place is open 24/7, I find myself coming here late at night when not many other places are open. There’s plenty of room for large groups, making Dom’s a convenient, fun late-night hangout spot!

I have been coming to this place for years. I remember going through their drive-thru with my dad when I was kid. If you live in the Ypsi area and haven’t been to Dom’s it’s usually a total shock. They do the classics VERY well. I have only ever been disappointed by their cookies, but honestly if you go for their cookies you need to get your priorities in order. Their cakes are amazing(and for any occasion according to the sign), the coffee is always hot and never sludgy, and their service is very prompt. I always get a variety of things when I go, and usually some ‘day olds’. They also have a section were you can get bottled drinks and they have picnic tables outside if you choose to do that. When you go inside you get the feeling that this bakery churns out a lot of product, but the quality is never lacking. I would like them to have more«fun» flavors, but they do what they do well. So I can’t fault them for that.

If you ever find yourself in Ypsilanti and looking for a place to sit down and eat pastries while drinking coffee, this is the spot. Open 24/7, this bakery has an amazing selection of freshly baked pastries and donuts. The donuts are not overwhelming sweet and the price is definitely reasonable. Definitely try the apple fritter — even if you have never eaten an apple donut before. Or stick with the classic custard filled. The place only accepts cash but there is an ATM available. Very friendly staff and definitely contributed to my freshman 15 while at U of M.
