Eastern Coney Island

Many locals are not yet aware that this establishment has changed ownership from the not-​so-​24hr Double Eagle coney island. I am doing my best to spread the word!
They offer simple and reasonably priced food for standard coney-​lovers. Baklava is always delicious :)

Good food, good atmosphere, good service. Best gyro in town. Some of the best fries I’ve ever had and a lot of food for a good price! Definitely becoming a regular here.

I live near this establishment and find myself frequenting it two or three times a week.
Firstly, the unit that they reside inside is very old. For the first handful of visits, I would smell some sort of musty odor. I’m unsure if I have grown immune to the smell or if it is gone, but I attributed it to the age of the building. I suppose the interior could use some improvements.
Their staff is friendly, although small in numbers.
Most importantly, their food and prices are great. Those who do not like additional spices on their food should be aware that their fries are fairly heavily coated with them. I’m a fan, although even I think that a little less might be preferred. I haven’t tried much more than their fries, club sandwich, and coney dogs, but those are all fantastic. Once I discovered how great their club is, I seem to be stuck on ordering that. It’s rather heavy on the mayo and difficult to take bites of due to it’s sheer vertical size, however.
Lastly, they have smoothies, milkshakes, and hard ice cream in an ice cream parlor style display. Personally, I’ve only had their strawberry banana smoothie, which I can say is very good. I’ve heard that the milkshakes are good as well.
The only reason I could think of to deduct a star is due to the building and interior lacking somewhat. Otherwise, it’s a great place to eat and in walking distance from EMU campus. I can highly recommend, especially for take-​out.

Good place for a quick fix of middle eastern fare. Friendly folks eager to please… great prices and convenient location make it a go to spot when I need a salad and falafel!

Good food, great prices. There are many great things to try. The shwarma ie excellent, chicken and beef. The coney dogs are excellent and fresh. The dogs got a nice crunch with their natural casings and fresh chilli and onions. This place is a must for lunch or dinner. Now with ice cream and shakes.
