Tacos, Torres, burritos, nachos and tamales are all incredible and authentic! Best food in Yreka! And my kids think so too!

Their burritos are so good and so filling. Everyone who works here is so friendly. I love the smoker out front. Definitely recommend.

We were starving and wanted a quick bite. Awesome food– husband got a torta and I got a burrito. Big portions and extremely satisfying. Recommend the hot salsa verde!

New to the area and my wife and I stopped in after a recommendation from an employee at Meeks Lumber! We ordered meat dishes, carnitas and carne asada, because the outside grill smokes the meat using wood. The smokey wood flavor was excellent, the meat was not overcooked. More like a taqueria than a traditional mexican restaurant, it does have some tables for seating. You order at the counter and they bring you your selection. The rice/beans/tortilla’s were all quite good. I asked for the hot sauce which wasn’t very hot… maybe I missed out on the real stuff because many reviews mention it being very good? I have now been back 3 times after being told that the burritos are excellent… first two times perfect… the smoked carnitas… the excellent hot sauce… really good. The last time… my meat did not taste even slightly smoked… and they forgot the hot sauce which for me is a must on a burrito. Hopefully they will make it right next time… everyone makes mistakes so I won’t complain yet

Loved the carnitas taco’s and the salsa! We got the mild one, but I asked to taste the hot one and both were really good! Service was prompt and the sound of the local college football game(Saturday afternoon) gave it a lovely small town feel. I would definitely recommend this place!

The service was super friendly right off the bat. The food was legit. I had chicken tacos, my boyfriend had a burritto and my sons shared a chicken quesadilla. Tacos came with guac and cilantro… Just… Yum. The meat was wood grilled and you can tell, so tasty. Best in town.

Bad ass tacos! They have beef tongue too. The burritos are ok, I’d get it w/no lettuce. I had a tamale from here once and it was still cold in the center… but like I said, bad ass tacos! And I suggest the hot sauce

We enjoyed the carne asada burrito and pulled pork tacos. The ingredients were good but I should have asked them to hold the lettuce and ask for less rice on my burrito. Still… a good place for Mexican food and we’d be happy to go back.

Our family went here for dinner, food was great. Was not expecting the run down atmosphere, but we were hungry and took a chance. If you can get past the way it looks inside, the food was awesome, the cheese enchiladas were great.

My current favorite is their adobada burrito. Get it with the hot sauce if you can stand the heat. If you get it with the mild it isn’t quite as yummy. Kids(6 and 8) are loving their chicken tacos. I made tacos at home tonight and they complained that they weren’t El Zaguan tacos.

Very bad. Meat tastes burnt. Guac tasted old. There service was absolutely terrible, there was three dirty table through the whole duration of the meal. Wouldn’t waste your time.

Love their carne asada tacos. All their meat is wood fire grilled. Ask for mild as hot is very spicy.

I spoke tis the BBQ master on the way in he was cooking chicken so naturally wanting the freshest meal I ordered a chicken torta. It was so big I almost called it quits, it tasted so good I had to finish it. Good salsa selection and great friendly service made me feel like I was amongst family.

The tacos are great! Burritos hit and miss. Not enough cheese and ingredients are not evenly distributed. The place has bad ambiance and yes it looks dirty. I don’t know why they don’t slap some fresh paint on the door. The walls are decorated with flames. The food is good though. Just close your eyes and get it to go.

My husband and I LOVE coming here and have never been disappointed. We’re from the Bay Area and had little hope of finding good Mexican food that was low key and casual this far north. This place is everything we hoped for, and more! I’m a vegetarian, hubby’s a carnivore, and we both leave there feeling satisfied! It’s definitely a little hole in the wall kind of place, and that is exactly what we wanted; not a chevy’s ripoff or expensive showy stuff– just delicious, flavorful food! I love the veggie tacos and the veggie burrito. The rice is great and everything always tastes fresh. Get it to go or eat it there, either way check it out and enjoy!

This place is awesome! It is divey… expect that. It also has REALLY good burritos. And I don’t mean«good for Yreka» burritos. Good for anywhere burritos. And soooo cheap. Check the pictures for one of their menus with hours and pricing. $ 6 for a carne asada burrito as big as my head. Yesssss! A friend in the know tells me there are all kinds of things you can get that are not on the menu as well… tamales, chile rellenos, and taco salads to name a few. I haven’t tried to order them so I can’t confirm or deny haha.
