I love this little coffee shop. Misty is a great host, she always has a smile on her face. The egg and cheese croissants are incredible. Coffee drinks are all excellent. The small shop atmosphere is way more welcoming then the big chain.

Great little coffee shop! Definitely worth stopping at if you’re taking a long trip on I-5. We had a delicious slice of cheesecake and the owner was very nice and asked about our mocha preference. I will definitely go back when I’m passing through Yreka.

We stopped through on our way to Sacramento and it was qood! I had. a sugar free blended mocha and it was great! Also we shared a egg and cheese pastry which was good! The lady at the counter was telling me she makes the muffins and the cookies are fresh too! I wish I would have tired them. next time for sure!

Great coffee, very nice shop. The coffee is roasted locally at a small boutique roaster, so it has a great unique character. There are lots of great baked treats to choose from too. It’s a nice interior café setting with comfortable, clean seating and tables. It’s great to see a high quality shop with a local woman invested in it with a very easy to find location. Go Misty, beat Starbucks!

This is a great place for a coffee to go or if you just want to sit down and relax. Free Wi-Fi and homemade goodies! The«Ann Robinson» is a must try! It is named after its local creator. It is the closest thing to heaven on earth as you can get.

I LOVE Misty’s shop. What a perfect place to stop, grab a hot drink, sandwich or homemade pastry. Yum yum yum! I fortunately have made Yreka a stopping place twice now while travelling from San Diego to Washington. What’s even better is both times I’ve used the stop as a «work from home location» and the internet was great, the tea was fabulous, her sandwiches super tasty, and oh, the muffin for the road was a life saver later that night. I will always look for chances to stop here when I’m cruising through NorCal. Try it out, you’ll love it!

While waiting for an appointment, we were looking for a cup of tea, but with no Starbucks in town we decided to stop into Misty’s(The name sounded cool and liked the positive reviews). When we entered Misty’s and her daughters were exchanging«I Love You’s» we knew we were in for a special experience. After being handed the best Chai spice I’ve ever had we sat down to enjoy. We were treated to 30 minutes of Mayberry with every person being greeted by name by everyone in the place as they came through the door. I would highly recommend stopping by, I know I will be again.

When I first moved to Yreka, I came to Misty’s Wet Yer Whistle because it had a great name and free WiFi. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of her shop. It is comfortable and Misty herself is a pleasant person. When you order your drink and plan to stay in, she serves you in a real cup, which I think is a great touch. Misty’s has delicious sandwiches and baked goods, which she makes herself in the shop. I don’t actually like coffee or tea, and Misty can make any of the coffee drinks on her menu coffeeless. Her hot chocolate is awesome, but her frozen hot chocolate has to be the absolute best drink I’ve ever had. The only sad thing.. . is that the shop isn’t open in the evenings or on Sundays. I’d come by more often if I could come in after work. Still, this is the best place in town for a good beverage and a tasty sandwich.

There’s a joke that shop owner Misty likes to tell the folks who come in: People always seem to find her place while searching their devices for a Starbucks.(It’s Siskiyou County; you won’t find one within a hundred miles.) Despite all the amenities of Seattle’s most successful java chain – bitter coffee, perpetual draftiness, warmed-over Motown piped in from corporate HQ – Starbucks is pretty bad. Misty’s Wet Yer Whistle, on the other hand, is absolutely wonderful. In a region of California where the espresso market share is dominated by drive-thru kiosks, Misty’s is the real deal: an adorable, personality-infused gathering place where coffee is only part of the package. The shop glows with bohemian java house warmth, a respite from the chilly mountain feel of Yreka(love it though I may). Local papers and gifts line the shelves; porthole-like mirrors dot the walls that are covered with bamboo. You can plop down on voluminous leather chairs or surf the web for free at a bistro table indoors or out. Misty herself is warm and engaging, and it seems she truly wants to know her customers, even city dwellers driving from one metropolis to the other. The double-shot latte she made for me was delicious, but the showstopper was her frozen hot chocolate that a local resident had raved about.(Misty informed me that this sweet treat is only made in a few coffeehouses around the country, and I believe her; I’ve never encountered it anywhere else.) Next time I visit, I’ll order her desserts: decadent-looking baked goods she whips up herself. Misty’s is a little hard to spot if you aren’t looking for it. If you see the Nature’s Kitchen sign, it is essentially across the street, adjacent to a hair salon. When my iPhone brought it up, I mistakenly thought that it had shuttered, as other coffeehouses in the area had. As a result, Misty’s remains the only sit-down coffee shop in Yreka, and it is a gem. By the time I left, I’d engaged in lively conversations with Misty and the locals who stop by her place for coffee and company. Whoever you may be, whether you are just passing through or visiting the rugged and rapturous Siskiyou County(as I was), you will feel right at home.

This place is great! She has a great selection of specialty coffee drinks, fresh pastries, and desserts that she makes each day herself. Great décor, comfy chairs, and very quite and relaxing if I lived in the area I would be here everyday! Such a neat little place wish her much success and hope to help others find their way there! As I mentioned I do not live in the area however do travel through on I-5 quite often and stop every time! She is right off of the freeway behind the Chevron Gas station next to a hair cutting place it is easy to get to as well as on and off the freeway. Most definitely worth the extra trip to avoid terrible gas station coffee! The owner has always been there to help us and she is such a sweetheart! Not a BAR it is a coffee shop!
