Golden Rush Espresso

This place is my go to coffee stop anytime I am in town. I have never been disappointed with my beverage or service. I have tried tons of other coffee shops and this one always stands out as the best to me.

I love going here. I drive up these days and they usually have my order started, lol! I believe in supporting small local businesses.

Coffee was good, prices were fair, people were friendly. The wait time has been a little much, but I get the feeling in this town that everyone moves at a slower pace than I am accustomed to.

We stalled our trip for over half an hour just to wait for them to open. Great lattes and mochas, and baristas who are very friendly and accommodating.

Call me shallow and predictable, but I judge a coffee place by whether or not it tastes like Starbucks— because I’m addicted to the flavor, like the way their beans are roasted, or whatever it is that makes theirs taste the way it does. So yeah, Starbucks is my basis for comparison here (like the fresh stuff from the shops, not the bottled stuff, totally different flavor).
Which by the way, I’ve been living in the bay area for several years with access to Starbucks shops, but since moving back up here, I’ve been depressed with NO Starbucks in this county! lol.
Anyway, on the Golden Rush Espresso review…
I’ve seen this place a lot, just passing by. But I never visited it before today, because I assumed it was only hot drinks, and unless its freezing outside, I only want iced coffee (and sometimes still even then! lol). But today (June 6, 2013), I saw a woman leaving this place carrying iced drinks, and I was like,
«Oh! They make iced drinks? AND they have a drive-​thru? Hey, if they measure up to Starbucks, I will shut my mouth and be happy!» lol.
So I pulled into the drive-​thru. I had my neighbors in the car with me, and it was horribly hot, so we all decided to try these drinks for the first time.
