Why 2 and a half stars? I’m shocked. This place is super amazing l. Considering I’m the fussiest eater I absolutely loved this place. Brian served me and he was absolutely perfect and such a sweet gentleman. He remembered my last ordered and brought the perfect dish for me. I ordered veg fried rice and spring beans broccoli on the side. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Usually Chinese people ask for Xtra 50c for chilli sauce lol these guys were so generous with all the sauces and charged me nothing. Brian you rock thank you for your amazing customer service.

Nasty bathrooms! Roaches! Good looks old, not fresh. We asked for a refund and the hostess said no because we took a bite. The water tasted old and moldy and stuff floating around in our cups. Not worth getting sick over

Lots of food choices, great service Most of the food was good and flavorful, some were mediocre Over all a good place and I’ll go back when I am in the area

Don’t do it. Don’t go. If you’re gonna spend ten bucks do it somewhere else. Water taste like mold and the food looked and tasted like it was sitting there hours. Don’t do it.

The wait service was very attentive asking to refill drinks many times. The food was ok I don’t usually seek out Chinese buffets. The beef and broccoli was the highlight with slices of jalapeño peppers. I would have enjoyed it more if they had more steamed vegetable options. Yet again I am not a frequent visitor of Chinese buffets.

As you enter this buffet, like all others, take a gander at the tables of food. Delicious, golden food. I did. After being seated and served a drink of choice, I proceeded to indulge in a little chinese culture. Yum-O. My first plate was my favorites, meat and bread. Everything I ate was absolutely flavorful, tender and delightful, save the dumpling with rice paper on the bottom. Dumpling was great, paper was no. That. Was. No. The restaurant was quiet for a buffet(the time I went anyway) and the waiter was friendly. There was an assortment of foods to try in the seafood department should you choose to. I suggest taking a bite of China here.

Anyone up for a good taste of cockroach can come right in! On my way out I went to go get some ice cream and wah-lahh! Saw a little buddy crawling on the floor and lost my appetite! I put the cone back turned around and walk back out, on my way I glanced back and saw one of the worker stomping on something where I spotted the roach. After seeing a post about Yuba buffets roach on FB I decided to try this place, but same sh*t different places. Im not going back there again! No wonder people get sick. Those reviews make a lot more sense now.

Still great. Friday night and the place was packed. 50.00 for four people. Nice tasty food!

Clean and lots of choices. However most are lukewarm and not labeled so tough to know what you are getting. Most dishes were just ok, a few were awful, no real standouts. Pros were its quick and open on a Sunday, which our other favorite area Chinese restaurant is not. My pickier partner was not a fan, because the food wasn’t as hot as he would have liked.

Not the best food or mongolian! Some food is great and others isn’t cooked all the way through.

Came here for my cheat day. Its not really a buffet because you have to pay after you eat a couple plates. Why call it a buffet if its really not??? Some of the food was ok but felt sick after. Also they will sit there and stare at you while you eat which is very uncomfortable. People dont like being stared at by the workers as if they are trying to rush you. They will also keep coming to your table every second to ask if theres anything else we need. If we needed help we would let you know, you dont have to keep coming to check on us. Super annoying. Will not go there again and will not recommend it. It would also help if they could speak a tad bit English too. This is why I eat mostly organic, they have some good food but low quality ingredients which is why I am sure is the reason people get sick from the food. Do not go unless you are desperate and cant find anything else to eat and don’t mind risking being sick.

Every time we go there my husband gets sick. We’ve decided we aren’t going there anymore. The food is good, but not good enough to get sick every time!

Good price food is fair. Been going here for a while and I can say that the quality of good and flavor has gone downhill. Has magnolian bar so the three stars are sufficient.

Read the reviews on this place and decided to give it a try. Big mistake. Price was average for a Chinese buffet and that’s as far as it goes. The service sucked. I had to stand at the register for 10 minutes for someone to come and take my money. The food was a little less than mediocher. The only good part was that all the food was hot. All in all, bad dining experience.

pretty good, actually. Tried this place for a date night with the hubby(and new baby), and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a pretty standard Chinese buffet, with all the works. Mongolian BBQ(not as good as across the street, but still good), random dim sum, and seafood every night! The crab legs are kind of dry to my liking, but the sushi was excellent, despite some of the reviews saying otherwise. The sesame chicken is delicious! We had a great waiter, but I can see how it could get hectic in here and you’d be ignored. My one complaint were the customers and their awful children that were running around and piling their plates with food I doubt that they would eat, but I was happy to see that empty plates on the buffet were refilled quickly with freshly made items, even near closing time. It’s not too expensive, and they do coupons in the mail, so it’s a very affordable option if you want a lot to eat. It’s not Vegas, or super fancy, but it’s some straight up Yuba City food. We will be returning often, I’m sure.

Out of this world great food! At a great price… I have been up in this area for a year now, and we finally decided to give this buffet a try. I have been disappointed by the Chinese food in this area. I am glad we came in. The sushi is fresh and good, the choices are vast, and the items i tried were all wonderful. I am a chef and believe me, I know what I am talking about. Give this place a try. I guarantee it won’t disappoint.

We were visting family up in the Yuba City area, and went out to dinner at this buffet nearby. Some of the food there was a little… strange… but other foods were good. The rice was colored bright orange, the same shade as my orange soda, and yet tasted kinda like… nothing. The cheese crab thing was good, came in a seashell and we weren’t really sure how to eat it. The coconut shrimp was good though, I liked it. Reminded me of walnut shrimp except more… coconut-y. The range of foods was wide, from pizza to sushi to crab legs to mongolian BBQ and chinese food. I think they were known for the mongolian BBQ but unfortunately I didn’t realize they had a station where they make it for you right there until after a couple plates, and by that time I couldn’t stuff any more food into my stomach. The donuts though, were by far… the best thing there. So light and sugary. Meh. Seemed ok, but more for quantity rather than quality.

Not much to choose from in Yuba City. The food I had was okay. Don’t know if I’d go back the next time I’m visiting up there. My favorite item was the bacon wrapped chicken pieces. Lots of dishes to taste. Service was good. Price was fine for what you get.

I was in Yuba city absolutely craving Chinese food when I saw Taste Of China. I figured it was a buffet so I couldn’t really go wrong. Inside the place was dirty and smelled fairly bad. The service was basically non-existent which wouldn’t have been bad except I wanted a drink glass. At the table next to me was the fat family Robinson who managed to excrete enough stench to make sitting at my table unbearable. I found the food to be about 50% edible– out of the variety of things I put on my plate about half didn’t taste like complete crap. This wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever eaten and some people may be able to find something they like on the buffet– But you’d be better served finding a good local place and and ordering single plates. I’d pass on this buffet if I were you, I won’t be returning.

Far from fab experience coming here. As soon as my party walked in the door, we were greeted by a young lady running to the restroom on the verge of throwing up; however, she wasn’t able to make it all the way, which resulted with barf on the floor. Rather unpleasant. Continuing, I was momentarily excited to indulge in my Slice Orange soda I had ordered; however, when I received it… Not Fab At All. It tasted like soap or cleaner or a rather stinky bathroom. Disgusting. The food here’s alright, I suppose. Maybe it was just the welcoming form the barf girl that turned me off, but I swear I smelt something funky going on with their food(not close to the incident). Come if you dare.
