We’ve eaten here periodically since it came here to Yucaipa. We like the food, the prices are OK and we’ve never had a problem with bad food or anything like that. Portions have shrunk a bit but we found them to be way too large anyway so that hasn’t been a problem. I prefer China Bowl over other chinese food establishments here in town.

Never ordered Chinese food from an Indian before, but gave it a shot. I ordered the teriyaki bowl, which she wanted to put green beans in, instead of the traditional mixed veggies. Chicken was okay, and teriyaki sauce tasted a bit bitter with fake sweetness added. The rice was not very sticky, and was overcooked. The place itself appears dated, but clean. They don’t have chopsticks here, which seemed odd. I think this place is staying in business because of the neighboring business employees and possibly(but not confirmed) lack of other option for Chinese food nearby.

My family and I ended up with a serious case of food poisoning when we ate here last. We will never step foot back in! We go to Thai Chili in Calimesa instead for Chinese and/or Thai.

This place is terrible. First time I ate here and last the chicken was burnt the food was old and just sitting there and it was a Friday night. the noodles were greasy and the beef broccoli was disgusting the broccoli was so old and wilted and the color was yellowish never seen that before and no beef! I also ordered a egg foo young that was hard as a rock! No more of this place nasty

So I stopped by today, a little after nine and asked if they were closed and they were. I started to walk out and the woman said they can do cook to order. I was very thankful because I had just got out of work and was hungry. They were still very nice to me even though I was there after closing and didn’t treat me rude. I had just got orange chicken and chow mien and it was very fresh of course and delicious. This was my first time here and it was definitely a good first impression and I will be back next time I want Chinese food!

This is the only Chinese food I will eat in the inland empire fsho, this place has been on point since opening day! The owners are great people and the food is always delicious. They give you so much food I always get two meals out of it. Good in every way, no need to go anywhere else. Five stars hands down!

The food us great when I’m on a binge. They always make the hot and sour soup fresh for me. However, the employees are definitely some interesting people. Sometimes nice, sometimes chatty, sometimes snarky, and sometimes really impatient and rude. Venture here at your own choice

Probably the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The orange chicken was mushy and old and the crab Rangoon was all cream cheese no crab. All the food looked like it had been sitting out for hours should have known better. I will never ever ever eat here again.

I have been going to China Bowl off and on for the last 5 years or so and it seems that lately they are getting a little stingy. Other chinese place will always let you have half rice and half chow mein, however China Bowl said you have to choose either or. What difference does it make? Also, when I asked for a tiny little cup of sweet and sour I was told that would be an extra twenty five cents. That has never been the case for me in the past. Other reviews are even saying they charge for a cup of Ice. I have always enjoyed their food, but I don’t like it when you feel nickle and dimed to death.

The secret to the freshest food served in most restaurants? Come on Mondays when they have to restock after a busy weekend.

Where low expectations and mediocre food meet surprisingly high prices. The food isn’t bad for fast food, but it certainly doesn’t make you want more. They pack in the sides you don’t want to make sure there isn’t room for the entre you do want. Apparently the owner or manager is super stingy: they charge for a cup of ice and monitor employees to make sure they don’t give away water.

The service here is some of the worst I’ve ever had. I can put up with an attitude, people who might just be having a bad day… unfortunately this isn’t a one time deal with China Bowl. I would have rated a 2 or 3 for the food but who want’s to spend their hard earned money to be served your everyday«typical» chinese quickie by employees that act as if you are an inconvenience to dine at their place of business?! The staff here needs a LOT of attention to even begin to talk about the food any further…

Despite the majority of this food being«blah» they make damn good hot and sour soup! So my mom fancied some egg fu young from this place, and sent me on my way to fetch an order. I was not too thrilled having to leave in the middle of a World Series game, but oh well. Also, the idea of hot and sour soup sounded great to me. These guys make the soup fresh when you order it, and they use fresh ingredients(though I suspect they use frozen vegetables in some of their other dishes). It takes between 5 and 7 minutes for them to make it, and it is delicious! The egg fu young wasn’t bad either, but I have had better. I sampled the mushroom chicken, and the mushrooms were fresh and nicely cooked. i might get that dish next time(minus the chicken).

Just don’t go there, the waitress is rude and killing us to go home around closing hour. we have watch and they don’t have to yell at employees that they are closing.
