Jake’s Italian Bistro & Brew

I don’t usually write reviews, but I’m sitting here at my breakfast table, eating the divine leftover lasagna and reminiscing about the perfect service and hospitality I received last night at Jakes! My friend has the ravioli. Both tdf. Would recommend to friends and loved ones. Go here first if you’re Unilocaling.

I love the food, and the service but because I live next to the restaurant, i am giving it 3 stars because they are loud, and always banging on things outside. The music and the people leaving the restaurant drunk and fighting in the street is not apealing. But as for the restaurant itself, I give a two thumbs up. Its very popular. I was raised by Italian cooks and this place is just as yummy.

This was our second time eating here, and I was not impressed… again. The dinner rolls were soft and fresh but had the flavor of cardboard. The garlic butter had a decent flavor but was very waxy. I decided to be simple and ordered spaghetti & meatballs. The pasta was very chewy, which I could’ve overlooked, however the meatballs & sauce lacked any type of flavor. I took most of my dinner home but will either need to add spices or some decent spaghetti sauce to make it worth eating or just throw it away. I was very disappointed, especially for the price, and this time won’t go back.

We usually dine in and the food has always been pretty good. So we orderd take out the other night (same plates we order when we go in) and first let me say a 45 min wait for noodles and sauce is a bit excessive. Then when we were leaving from picking up the food we both heard the kid make a comment about the lack of tip. Sorry its a take out order that took 45 mins to put in a box.
But most importantly, the food. Wow. It was awful. Noodles were over cooked mush and the alfedo sauce in one dish had already started to seperate. Disgraceful. So disappointed, waste of money.
It was really good when we had it in the restaurant.

I don’t mind the beer selection, they are top notch in that direction. The food was alright, although ive always expected food to be made for me not someone else whom would rather enjoy the improperly prepared lunch. Pastrami burger was still awesome even if it was overcooked. What I did not care for was the fact to the bartender and her willingness to serve me to the point of intoxication but the lack of willingness to provide me the necessary tools to sober up. She literally took my glass of water away while I was drinking it. I rather felt as though the bartender was only implied to make sure I reached intoxication. And kicked me out of the establishment right after. If I had. crashed on my way home their would be more to discuss. I apologize if the words that were produced were more volatile than the children in the bar were used to being adept to their surroundings but it is a bar and my experience has always diluted toward children not being present in adult bar scenarios. But it’s 2016 apparently children are recommended toward enjoying everything they can in the bar not just adults. It’s a mad mad world.

Just ate late lunch. at Jakes, met some of our family there, was awesome as always, had Pastrami sandwich, potato soup (delicious!) also shared other food from their orders all great!
Pasta, Salad some appetizers too! Chicken wings, meat ball all so good! Fun time!

Great ambience, great food and service, I have been here a few times and each time we have had a great experience.

I normally don’t write reviews but, I have eaten lunch here once a week for over a year and just wanted to share what a great place this is. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have been pleased with everything. The waitresses are all very attentive and sweet. I have to say I like the service here even better than the food :) and I love the food.

If I could no stars I would. Paid for wings and pizza. Wings were uncooked and pizza cheese was not even melted!!! Terrible experience. Never coming back. Called to speak with a manager and was told the manager was too busy to hear my complaint. I have called everyday since and still have not been able to speak with a manager. Terrible service.

My wife and I have eaten here in the past and really enjoyed it. The last few times have been very disappointing. They pretty much raised their prices on their pizzas and made them smaller. I’m not sure why they thought that was a good idea.
Despite their inflation, we love their pizza. Tonight we ordered a pizza over the phone. I picked it up and got it home and found a crispy burnt «pizza» in a box. I drove all the way back there and asked for a refund. They did offer to give me another pizza but it would take 40 minutes.
Jake’s, you should look at food before you serve it.

This place is simply amazing! Each time I go there the staff is friendly and the food is consistently great. I also love the large selection of craft beers they offer. Having been in the restaurant industry for many years, I am extremely critical of the details of any restaurant when dining out. I must say… I have never been disappointed with Jake’s. Keep up the great work guys!

Salad was excellent… My $ 16.95 entrée of seafood linguine… Devoid of both seafood and flavor… Very disappointing…

Awesome lunch special. Comes with soup or salad and warm bread. I get the personal pizza, it really is the best pizza in town!

The meatball sandwich was wonderful. The wait staff was very friendly and took great care of us. The manicotti is a must try as well. Priced very fairly.

Jake’s has good food and great atmosphere. Fun sports bar with tons of tvs. When there’s not a big game on, they play good rock music. Beware: the bar is beer and wine only. Homemade bread and garlic butter is to die for.

This place is ridiculously good. My family purchased three different dishes. They were each spectacular. 1) spaghetti with meatballs & meat sauce 2) Patti melt 3) the Penne vodka with chicken. Everything was homemade including the amazing garlic bread they give you when you sit down. We have never had better Italian food.
I am so thankful for Unilocal — that is how we found this gem… I would never have chosen to eat here because it is mostly a sports bar. But the food is so good — it is worth having to be in a bar environment. We did go eat at 4 to 5:30 pm — so it wasn’t too full of bar patrons.

First time here and we loved it!!! Food was delicious and service was great!!! We were a party of 22 and they got our order right The first time with no mistakes and no go backs!!! They kept checking up on us and giving us refills. Highly recommend this place!

We meet there for happy hour sometimes, the bar area is a great place to hang out too. Definitely recommend.
