Workers are going through the motions. The parking lot is a nightmare. Go to the Bryant street Staters!

The staff is friendly, never had a problem there, but they are incompetent. Especially whoever they’ve got working in the milk section. I usually check to be sure the items I’m buying aren’t expired but sometimes I forget and I oftentimes come home with product that is super expired. I bought yogurt in late August that smelled and tasted funny and when I checked the date it had expired in June! How the hell can expired yogurt sit on that shelf for two months?! I talked to other employees at different stores who tell me that store is notorious for having«out of codes» or expired products. So I’ve started going to the bryant st. one. We’ve also come home without some things pretty often.

Honestly when ever I go into this store I feel like a convict or something similar to that. I feel like I am always doing something wrong in there. I always feel very tense when ever I go into the line with the cashiers. They are extremely rude and judge mental ! I am a mother of two children and I currently receive Wic. I get dirty looks from cashiers every time I take my vouchers out. They are not Wic friendly with their products. For example the Wic labels in the shelf are all over the place and some don’t even have one. So it makes it very difficult for me to choose the correct Wic product. I always end up with the wrong brand or something like that. The cashiers make me feel so uncomfortable when they find out that I got a wrong thing. Their facial expressions say it all. They also throw the food in the bags with bad attitude and scan or punch keys in a horrible way. If they don’t like their job then they should not work there! Management needs to hire friendly people! Excellent customer service is a must! Us consumers work very hard to buy food four our families. We should not be treated or discriminated in anyway ! Please management work on this!!! It is very crucial.

I have mixed feelings about this place. They have the best prices in the area, which is why they are so busy. But the isles are small, the parking lot is horrid(it’s built on an incline and your shopping cart rolls away from you while you are putting your groceries into the car — often with your small child still in there!). And the lines are a joke. You can hardly walk through the front of the store because all of the lines overflow and wrap around. It’s not unusual to have 5 or 6 customer waiting in each line with overflowing carts. Don’t come here if you are in a hurry. Do come here if you want to stock up on cheap groceries.

Great food value… the best of all the major chains. and amazing emplyees… first i am handicapped and every time i am there someone and sometimes many empolyees asks if i need help… and gives it freely if i say i need it. they care about their customers. the first thing i noticed is the people from calimesa are amazingly helpfull and kind. since it is hard for me to handle food i asked people in the meat dept for extra help, packing my meat orders in single serve packs etc…, they acted like i was doing them a favor. not like being a pain. so super sweet… tracy, chris and anne were extremely helpful as well as all the others. it is touching that they notice their handicapped customers and make sure they get what they need. that is the way of all the employees there. i am sickly and often difficult and the employees and casheirs and and bag persons go WAY out of their way to help me. way out of their ways. not because they are paid to but because they are just kind. theirs is a kindness to calimesa and yucaipa customers i have never experienced before. i know for a fact this starts from a management down effect. they love and care for their customers and we love them back. even tho i now live in yucaipa is still shop in calimesa because of the employees. i wish the company wiould expand the store but the employees make them my first stop for groceries. this is the best staters ever. they are great…

Yucaipa stater bros, like to play tricks, they will have one price on the shelf and than when you get to the checkstand it’s different, I don’t like the paperless coupon thing, it’s very confusing, you allways have to confirm the prices because you can’t tell for sure. They are allways moveing things around which is very frustrating, I have left and gone to other stores for that reason. most of the younger employees talk too much and gossip amoung there selves, I don’t want to hear who slept with who and what party they went to. they never in my experience say hello to us or thank you, they could care less if we are there or not.

Meh, this is an average Stater Bros. like any other I’ve been to– it does feel like the majority of the employees don’t really care about the customers’ experience whether it be not acknowledging people on the floor or even saying«excuse me» when they practically run you over w/the mop.

VERYBADSERVICE, AND A STUPIDASSOF A STOREMANAGER. So, I drove all the way from San Diego to care for my mom(who has breast cancer) and when I got to her house she left me a few checks with her name signed to them, and a note asking me to do some shopping for her. I went to Stater Brothers to get a few things, and my bill was under $ 50. When I gave them her SIGNED check with my ID(showing the same last name) they refused to take it. I then spoke to the store manager and explained everything to him, and that I could not wake her up just to get her ID and bring it all the way back. He pretty much had a «too bad, so sad» attitude. What a dick! And he didn’t even offer any words for my mom, which decent people usually do just out of respect. I told him my family would NEVER shop there again, and after telling my mom she was upset and agreed. I mean, I grew up in this hick town, and my family had been shopping at Staters since the early 80s! No more! I went to Vons down the street and spoke to the store manager there. She was understanding, polite, and let me get the groceries. I hope karma strikes that disgusting Stater Brothers manager hard. All in all, it was BAD customer service, and I was treated rudely. FAIL!
