Cheap motel. Basic of basics, don’t expect much here even tv wasn’t basic cable. You will be bored.

I walked in took them a while to get to the front but what ever shit happens, they’re pretty cool. I stayed here 2 nights mostly to just sleep for a cheap price and that was exactly it. It had what I needed; basics. Beds weren’t no comfortable tempurpidic bed, which I wasn’t expecting. Bed was a little hard but what ever it’s got blankets and pillows. That first experience was cool. All in all cheap comfy place to rest your head while out here, service was quite alright, and that neon sign is pretty cool too gotta admit. Second time they had no smoking rooms so referred me to hat rack… Screw that.

I stopped in to admire the vintage neon signage and thought it could be nice to put some money$ toward sustaining an elder lady’s running once more about the sun. As someone else had written, they indeed do not honor their Unilocal offer, but after all this time if the motel keeper is so fed up as to practically slam the window for asking, surely someone can figure out how to take down«prior management’s» outdated ad. Can’t attest to staying – there were plenty of options along hwy 62 – but dropping stars for negative customer service.

I wanted a cheap, clean, safe motel while visiting Joshua Tree. That’s exactly what I got. It was only $ 60 on a Saturday night. The room is a little dated, but perfect for what I was looking for. The air conditioner worked great, as did the shower which felt like a massage because the water pressure was so good. I reserved a room with one bed, and was pleasantly surprised upon check-in to see that they had upgraded me to a two-bed room without charging me extra. Great place to stay while visiting Joshua Tree if you don’t feel like camping. The office is open 24-hours and that seems to keep out any questionable characters that might frequent such a cheap motel. The other guests were very quiet. Room included a microwave and mini-fridge. No phone, but seriously, who uses a hotel phone anymore? Direct TV with HBO was included. I will definitely be back.

We stayed at this place in May. I liked the location, in the middle of Yucca Valley(lots of stores and restaurants around), near Pioneertwon and Joshua Tree Park. The motel has a cool look, retro, old fashioned in the good way. That’s what we wanted, some place with character, not a chain. The manager was nice, had the room ready for us, asked us to check it first see if we like it, if everything is OK. The motel is simple motel, don’t have huge expectations, has a clean bedroom, a bathroom, a fridge and a microwave. I knew this place has no major amenities: breakfast, hair dryer, coffee-maker, alarm clock. I was fine with it. But it doesn’t have a phone in the room and they advertise that! Bathrooms could use a bit of updating and some toiletries. Free parking. Cheap. We just wanted a place to leave luggage, shower and sleep, nothing fancy. It was quiet, except the wind that kept us awake a bit, but that’s no one’s fault, it’s just how it is in the desert.

Retro without knowing it. Kinder than most places. They keep their neon running, they’re reasonable and they’re far enough away to feel like you’re somewhere else. I’m down.
