This is a pretty good take out place for Chinese food. The service is friendly and courteous. They often give you a free 2 liter or two of soda depending upon how much you spend. The soup is great as well as the fried rice. If you like Chinese takeout then I would be willing to say that you would like this restaurant.

I have always been pleased when ordering from here. It is a small run down building so if you are looking for a visually appealing fine in experience I would recommend some where else. The honey chicken and general Tso chicken is great and very flavorful. As others have mentioned the crab Rangoon is very good as are the egg rolls. If you like it extra spicy this may not be for you. I haven’t really found a dish that has spice to it.

Pardon my French, but… «Le Meh.» I’m not sure how I passed any of my French classes. Pros: + 30 minutes before New China closed, a large order was placed by us; I would consider it to be a large order at least. There were some eight or nine individuals ordering separate entrées and paying for the aforementioned entrées with various forms of payment(cash and something like 5 credit cards). New China handled it well. Nothing was missing in the multiple orders, and it seemed that everyone got what they ordered(more or less). Kudos to them for being quick about it, and apparently not getting huffy about getting a sizeable order right before closing. + They’re not chintzy with the meat or portions. I ordered a small House Special Lo Mein. There was a fair amount of meat, and the small takeout box was crammed full and had some heft to it when picked up. + Their website is user friendly, and seems to be set up well enough to take online orders. This would put New China ahead of most of its American Chinese take-out brethren, since many other places are still stuck in their paper trifold identical menu, cash-only approach to American Chinese food. = Current Rating: [*][*][*][*] Cons: — The small House Special Lo Mein is $ 4 something + tax. Delivery charge was supposedly $ 3.00 for all of the orders combined. Cheap! The person who went to pick up all of the orders at the front door must have tipped a $ 1.00(because my bank statement noted the change), which wasn’t an issue for me. But my total at the end of it all was like… $ 8.00. If that happened to everyone who ordered, then it looks like a delivery charge was tacked on for each person even though they said it was $ 3.00 for the whole group. — The food was boring as all get-out. Or at least that was my experience, and I heard from a couple others that they felt the same way about theirs. Everything was bland, and oily. Now I’m not opposed to oil, but if the main flavor profile is «grease», it doesn’t amount to a particularly enjoyable experience. When the order was placed for the aforementioned House Special Lo Mein, I emphatically emphasized that I wanted my food«extra, extra spicy.» Perhaps they misheard and thought I didn’t want it spicy so they took it two extras in the opposite direction. Lack of salt, lack of flavor, lack of everything but overcooked noodles, oil and meat. = Current Rating: [*][*] Was there an Old China? Did Old China taste better? New China was disappointing. I’m willing to give them another go in the near future(probably in the next month or so) and updating the review accordingly. Maybe some take-out next time…

The place is run down and they are very slow. It was busy so there were a lot of people in and out of there. The crab rangoons and the egg rolls were awesome but I had Moo Goo Gia Pan and it was awful! The chicken was mushy and had no flavor. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Would go back and get crab rangoons and egg rolls but wouldn’t bother with anything else.
