I have only donated to this organization. Each time I have they have been so thankful. I will continue to donate here.

Nice dog park, little tough to find if you aren’t paying attention. It says «members only» on the gate but that’s easy to fix as membership is free. Not entirely sure the reasoning behind it but whatever. It has a LARGE pond for your dog to swim in and cool off. My only complaint was the lack of fresh water available. I recommend bringing your own bowl and a jug of water for your pup to drink.

I really appreciate this animal shelter. I have always adopted my pets from a shelter or a stray. I don’t agree with breeding pets because of the number of pets that’s need homes. They have a great selection of dogs! My first dog a adopted from pets and people, I had him for 15 years until I had to put him down due to renal failure because of old age. I just have one compliant. I have adopted another dog from them, but I’m not enjoying them calling me every single month or twice a month. It’s bother some! I got my puppy when he was less than 3 months old and now he is almost a year… why are you still bothering me about my dog! She would call and ask question on how my dog is doing. I hate it. I’ve finally stop answering my phone. I don’t want to be rude because I would love to adopt more dogs from this shelter but, the baggage afterwards is terrible.

Pets & People deserves every one of the five stars I’m giving them. As a no-​kill sanctuary, these folks do difficult, thankless work every day on behalf of unwanted cats and dogs– they’re a definite blessing to Oklahoma City, Yukon, and the outlying communities.
If you’re looking for a new furry family member, consider dropping by to visit or check the website or attend one of their adoption days at area pet supply stores. Pets & People staff do the best they can to assess each animal’s individual personality quirks so the animals get adopted into forever homes. They also welcome volunteers to care for and socialize the animals and accept monetary donations as well as donations of cat/​dog food, cleaning products, etc (see list on website for specifics). The facility itself is clean, bright, and usually bustling with activity. There’s also a dog park with a pond on property.
I don’t recommend calling to see if you can drop off your own animal there since they’re filled to capacity rescuing animals from kill shelters but if you’re looking for a new cat or dog of your own, you couldn’t look for a better place.
