Junior’s Seafood Restaurant and Grill

I can only speak to my experience with the fish tacos. They are certainly not authentic Mexican in any way, shape or form. I know this is not a Mexican restaurant, but these were the worst fish tacos that I’ve ever had. I just don’t think that they understand what fish tacos are meant to be. I haven’t tried the other food so I can’t speak to that.

This is what seafood should be. Excellent service, good food, good beer! All around a great experience. Love the coconut shrimp dinner. Owner is greeting customers in the dining area and making sure all is good.

My boyfriend and I had the seafood feast for two with everything fried. You get four sides with the feast for two. We chose a baked potato, cheese fries, rice pilaf and fried squash for our sides. When they say feast they mean it!
You walk in to order at the counter and sit wherever you prefer. Someone will bring your food out to you but you make your own drink. The menu has a wide selection and a number of unique selections I haven’t found anywhere else like the crab cake or shrimp pita. Everyone who worked there seemed down to earth and genuine. We both got full and even had a FULL box of food to take home.
The cheese fries come with real cheese, not a slice of kraft and it isn’t a sauce from a jar. The rice pilaf is a yellow rice with a bit of mushrooms, yum! I can always tell if my boyfriend likes something because he will nod his head in approval after the first bite. HAHA :) After every bite he took from everything we ordered he gave the nod. He REALLY likes something if he gives the nod AND makes a comment which he did over the fried squash.
Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

Friendly staff. Clean restaurant with casual atmosphere. The seafood is excellent, very fresh. I ordered the seafood platter with grilled scallops fried shrimp and deviled crab. Can order it fried, grilled, broiled, or blackened. Plenty of sides to choose from including fried squash (hand battered), fried okra, backed potato, Cole slaw, fries, rice pilaf, salad, or vegetable of the day. Will definitely return.

My wife and I stopped in there on our way to Miami, just on the spur of the minute. The food was excellent, as well as the service. I had their special of the night and it was fresh flounder, and shrimp, cooked blacken. It was outstanding. Cooked to perfection. My wife said the pasta/​shrimp dish she had was one of the best she has had. We would definitely, go back.

Sat on the phone for over 10 minutes to place an order. Didn’t think that they were that against call ahead orders.

We were absolutely shocked at how delicious the food was at Juniors!
We were hankering for Pizza but it was closed on Sunday so we opted for Juniors because it was close by!
We met the greatest young lady named JACKLYN who took our order. I could feel her love of the business and how she loved people in general. Just a beautiful young gal who has it all going for her. She knew the menu inside and out and actually told me her favorite and we both ordered it. It was absolutely wonderful.
Met the owner as he was on his way out. He stopped by the table to make sure we were happy with our food. Loved that. And he was quite a guy too! Hard working with 3 locations and still had a smile on his face at 9:30 at night!

The staff was very polite. The food was over cooked, warmed over and just not good. For a place that specializes in seafood, the shrimp was not prepared well. It was mushy. The steak was thin, grissly and over done. It was over priced. I would not go back.

Came back with my family this evening.
They’re food is pretty good. Everything fried still all tastes the same. No special seasonings for the fry mix.
Anyhow I had the buoy boiled shrimp which were really good. They had a really good flavor with just the right amount of kick.
The coleslaw was super fresh and creamy. The fries were simple plain old crinkle fries. They should definitely invest in a potato cutter and just go ahead and make homemade fries. That would’ve set the dinner off. Their home made hush puppy are so good. Crunchy on the outside and sweet and fluffy on the inside.
I got the unsweetened tea and it was pretty much just water there was practically no tea color or taste.
This place gets poppin at 6pm so try and go around 5 – 5:30 so you can get a seat because this place gets packed!!!
This time was much better than last time.

Excellent little seafood place for lunch. I had the blackened magi and shrimp lunch for $ 10.99. Baked potato and collard greens on the side. Absolutely delicious! Great portions, great service, great food, and a great price — enough said! I will return on my next trip to town

Went to the restaurant one evening for dinner and kept looking at the menu and the prices where for lunch and much higher for dinner. It’s like going to a fast food restaurant that you place your order at the counter and they serve the food at your table. I was not impressed by the menu but I think they need to do something to bring to life that restaurant. All the employees where pleasant and the food was ok.

This place surprised me… thought it would be more of a restaurant, and while it is a sit-​down place, you go to the counter to order your food, then it is delivered. Once I got past that expectation, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delivered quickly, was fresh and steamy and delicious. We will definitely return.

The service was good and the sides were decent, but these things not matter as this is mostly a fried seafood menu and many if not most all places including one really trendy one down on the island screw up fried food.
There is an art to decent fried seafood and Juniors has it nailed.

Not too bad. I had the shrimp and grits. Not the best ones I’ve had but they were good. The place is very people friendly which is something that is hard to find now in a lot of businesses. I would recommend coming to this place.

It has been a while since I started writing my review for this place but since I still remember how much I enjoyed eating here, I will be brief:
FRIED SHRIMP!!! THE BOMB!!! AMAZING!!! FANTASTIC PORTION SIZES!!!
I ate there multiple times and look forward to it again: D

Stop for lunch and was so suprised at how much food came on the daily shrimp special. Everything was delicious.
Got an order of corn nuggets and it wasn’t an order of 5 or 6, it was an order that would feed 5 or 6 people. The Shrimp were very good. Lightly battered and hot. French fries were cold, but I mentioned it to the staff, and before I knew it they had brought me a whole plate of fries that were fresh and hot.
Coleslaw was out of this world. This was our first visit to Juniors, and I a sure you we will be back.
Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, Juniors staff is awesome! They were very friendly and helpful. Go visit, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

How have I come to Amelia for years and missed this place. Choices galore super super clean and very friendly staff.
This is our new regular.

my family and I came here this past summer on our trip to Amelia island.
It’s nothing fancy yet the food was FRESH! Bravo Bravo.
They also offer beer and wine to accompany your meal. Since we had never been before, we were expecting more of a sit down restaurant with waiter service, so when we pulled up we were a little shocked it was in a strip mall.
TIP: It’s more of a fast food kind of place then an actual restaurant.
The staff was extremely friendly and answered any questions we had. I would recommend if you are looking for something casual and quick.
