Bottle of red wine was good, fair price, crab stuffed mushrooms: couldn’t taste the crab and they seemed reheated, lobster soup eh, like 5 tiny pieces of lobster, french onion soup was over loaded with old bread and cheap cheese — my home made is better, bread at the table was good but the server said she send it home with us and didn’t.(They box your food for you which is nice) rebeye was delicious, same with the filet, veggies were on point, same with mashed potatoes. Desert was no good but they quickly replaced it with some chocolate cake that tasted like a ho-ho! It was our anniversary dinner, first nice meal as new parents, so it was an amazing time for us, some details could’ve been better but we had a great time together. They steaks were perfect and that’s what brought it to the 4 stars(the wine and scotch helped too ;))

Had a nice birthday dinner with friends here. Everyone enjoyed their meal, everthing prepared as requested. My trout was good, could have used a little more imagination but to my surprise tasted fresh & not fishy.

I know the food must have some flavor, but I spent all night looking for it. Wife was ill all night. Sorry, but I feel this establishment is grossly overpriced. Better places in town… like McDonald’s.

Hunter used to be the best steakhouse in Yuma, bust since its closure and renovation it’s touch for excellence has been slipping. Corn chowder used to be on the daily menu. Now the delicious soup has been reserved for«special occasion» the steaks were tender and always cooked to perfection. My last steak was none of those. I ordered med/well and received and over chard lump of leathery meat. I wish I could go back in time and have another dinner with perfection. For now I will have to find my steaks elsewhere till a quality steakhouse is again found in Yuma.

So nice atmosphere. That was it! The salad was ok, I ordered prime rib medium rare. It was dry and the flavor was terrible. I asked for a new one it was cold! I paid and left the manager was oblivious she should have noticed I didn’t touch it. I am from out of state please go somewhere else. It’s not worth it.

Our family have been eating lunch and dinner here for many years. Have always had good prompt service with very friendly servers. Steaks have always been flavorful and cooked to order. Standouts are their prime rib and rib eyes. Kids love their shrimp both battered and grilled and all fish dishes. Soups are home made and delicious with great fresh sour dough bread. Beef/vegetable barley and lobster bisque soups are the best in town. Love the salad wheel selection with real bleu cheese dressing. Favorite light lunch is the lettuce wedge with sirloin tips. We will keep coming back for years to come.

Went here for the first and last time last night. Service was 5 stars. However, when dropping $ 100 on dinner for 2 the food needs to be good. Appetizer was good but nothing special. The prime rib was a nice cut although cooked sometime ago and almost reheated. Nothing served after the appetizer was still warm from the stove. Bernais sauce was coagulated and merely room temperature as was the asparagus it was served with. Lobster bisque was also a disappointment, again served just above room temperature. That was unacceptable and I said I didn’t want it, we were told the microwave wasn’t working. Then I was asked if I wanted to take it home. Negative! The food is just not worthy of the price tag.

Yuma is not in short supply of steak houses and this was pretty tasty. I got the 20oz ribeye bone in and it was very good and cooked to perfection. Looking at the various meals being served around me, everything looked good and heard good feedback about the porkchop, top sirloin, ribs and New York strip. The bread was warm and delicious however started to fill up on that and the salad before the main course. I’ll be back!

Staff was very attentive, helpful & gave me good help with wine selections. I ordered filet mignon(medium). Was way past will done. Actually grill burned on one side. Baked Potato was good. Wife and guest ordered grilled shrimp. Both wife & guests shrimp were way past over cooked. Definitely not a pleasing meal. We should have sent the meals back, but didn’t have the time to wait. First time we have been back since they had the fire in the building. Well not go back. Howard B.

Extremely disappointed. When we arrived we went to the lounge to wait for the rest of our party. Was hoping for more of a beer selection and a better wine selection. Hubby and I both settled for what was there. After being seated we ordered appetizers, spicy shrimp and crab stuffed mushrooms. Both arrived in a timely manner which was nice. The shrimp was nearly flavorless in a pool of sauce and a side of bread. And the mushrooms were stuffed with I guess what they consider to be crab. I couldn’t taste any of it. Our party ordered ribs and steaks. I got the bone in ribeye and my husband the sirloin. His came out perfectly cooked though lacking flavor. My ribeye was well done after I requested medium. It was promptly taken back and a new steak prepared. When the second one arrived it was RARE. The rest of my party was nearly done with their meals by the time I asked for a completely different steak to be prepared. The manager was kind enough to comp my meal after all the trouble. Steak was still slightly over cooked and at that point I didn’t care because we had other plans after dinner. Even though the service was prompt and friendly we will NOT be returning here ever again. I can get a much better and flavorful steak at Texas Roadhouse for half the price.

Went here for my husband’s birthday last night. The staff were very nice and professional. Our waitress was polite and attentive but not annoying. I ordered the rack of lamb and it was good except for the amount of rosemary they put on it. The chef must have emptied an entire bottle of it on the lamb– I had to scrape it off. My husband ordered the porterhouse and he enjoyed it but was disappointed by the lack of flavoring. Our meals were the right portions(we had to take half home) for the price. This is a nice place to come one in a blue moon but people looking for a «high quality, fine dining» experience will be disappointed– it is Yuma after all.

Over cooked my steak. I ordered medium and it came out well done. I liked picking out my own salad fixings. If you want a good steak, go to Jack and Rosie’s instead.

Best prime rib I’ve ever had, always a great meal. Heather was wonderful and let me taste the wine before I got a glass, one of my favorites places to eat in yuma when I’m here

First time in years we had dinner here. I had the rib eye steak and ordered it medium well and it came back raw. Sent it back and still was way too rare but to avoid eating by myself I went ahead and ate it. The salad was great and the service was very good but the steak was very bad. You would think that for $ 37 for a steak it would be delicious. Won’t be back soon.

Okay… Been in Yuma two years, been to this place 8 times. The salad is prepared in front of you, the medium rare steak I ordered was perfection, the wine selection was decent(after all, this is Yuma) and the service has always been great. For the type of money that you will spend here, the décor needs to be updated from the 80’s and I can’t believe there’s no dress code(I saw men in strapped sandals with t-shirts that were 3 sizes to small). I would recommend this place for a lovely dinner and to catch up with friends.

Worst steak I’ve ever had at a steak house. Applebee’s is better. I sent the first steak back because they made it well done when I asked for medium rare. Second steak came back medium and had no flavor or texture. Tasted like discounted steak from the grocery store.

Soooooo… I’ve been living in Germany for a few months and all I wanted was a good Rib-eye while I was working in Yuma. I searched Unilocal for a steak house and found a few places that seemed like the reviews were written by locals who were helping out their local dive. I took a chance on this place. Granted a bunch of people were bitching about a freakin’ NYE party and didn’t mention anything about steak, amateurs for sure. So I went on a Saturday at about 6 by myself. I sat in the empty bar and ordered a glass a pino, that is wine for those of you who don’t «sprechen». Being from a wine region of CA I didn’t hold out much hope and I’d say it was ok, I guess. I ordered the salad, which was ample, and the 20oz bone in rib-eye med rare with veggies. This is what I was looking for! The steak was just seasoned with salt, as it should be, and cooked perfectly. The veggies were blanched and delicious. I also got fresh sourdough bread which melted in my mouth. I am what you hipsters refer to as a «foodie» and live in a place with outstanding food(chain restaurants are for the genetically inferior), so take it for what it’s worth, but 20oz bone rib-eye, seasoned with just salt, a salad with 10 accoutrements, and firm veggies(just like I like my women).

I knew there was a reason why I waited a year to visit this restaurant… I came here 2 days ago to try out their happy hour(see pic). They have pretty good drink specials and a whole list of discounted apps. Atmosphere: I got here at 7pm and no one was at the bar/lounge area. The place has a warm, classy feel to it. Like you know your check’s going to be at least $ 70 for 2 people kinda feelin’. Food: We ordered $ 2.50 drafts, the Baked Brie app, and the Fried Calamari. First of all, the Baked Brie was NOT baked. It had charred marks on it(see pic) however was not warm at all. It was cool to touch. I didn’t mention anything because I assumed that’s how they served it, I dunno. It came with caramelized onions and some sort of garlic compote. Next, the calamari was not what you expect«real» calamari to be. It was NOT squid rings but instead calamari STEAKS cut up into large strips and they tasted processed to me. Both dished tasted ok but I would not ordered them again. Maybe other entrees would have been good but I had no intentions on ordering anything else after the apps. Service: Our bartender/server was really nice. She said we were her first(& last) customers of the day. We hurried to finish our drinks and she was sent home early for the evening. Would I go back to Hunter’s, probably not. Maybe just for drinks.
