The 2 star rating is strictly because the food itself wasn’t bad and obviously edible. But our waitress didn’t even know we had been seated, it took forever to take our order and also to get our food. It seems as though the place gets busy and the staff lacks organization.

Night was the longest dinner ever. 45 minute wait for food. Had to retake are order and still got it wrong. Over cooked pancakes. And didn’t receive all food that came with meal.

Food was ok. They were out of a lot of things so there was not much to choose from. I ordered a vinaigrette for my salad & was given straight up vinegar! Waiter was new and should have had Someone helping him more. Seemed like it was his first job ever. We let the manager know how bad the service was. Her reply was«sorry, we have been getting a lot of complaints about him today»

The wait to be sat was fairly quick for a Sunday however the food took a bit of a while. The hostess who sat us was kind enough to take our order, so that was very nice. Our server, Tony, was delightful. He brought me a side of chocolate chips for my whole wheat pancakes and he even warmed them up. Kind servers always make eating out that much more pleasant.

Pancakes were okay but there was rotten potato mixed in with our hash browns. Two of my party ate it anyway because we were hungry. Didn’t bother complaining as we didn’t think it would matter. Stomach is turning.

Passing through on way to Phoenix. Worst food ever. VERY small portion. I ordered 2 egg breakfast and it was not even one egg. Bacon beyond edible it was so burnt. English muffins had no butter and hard as a rock.

Our kids always like IHOP every time anyone comes to visit us in Yuma. Plus we look forward to pancake day both at IHOP and Denny’s :) great atmosphere and people ready to bring a smile with your food. It’s been the place of destiny for 2 bday meals by our now 7 yr old.

SCARY! i’m new from Lousiana and this was my 8th time going into IHOP, I knew what I wanted and just wanted to grab a bite on this pretty saturday afternoon. I went with my female cousin and the staff was pleasant, we were sat proptly and ordered coffee. My coffee tasted fine, but this moment was ruined by the PINKLIPSTICK on the mug… so the server apologized and brought a new mug and poured fresh coffee. I poured 3 creams, 3 sugars and as i unwrapped my flatware I noticed dried up, stuck on food on my fork and spoon. The same server apologizes and brings me new flatware… SAMEPROBLEM… dirty flatware is just NOT acceptable at any restaurant, I guess they dont train servers to check the flatware, when it’s been an issue already, then again CUSTOMERSERVICE is just flat out BAD in Yuma, AZ. I spoke with the manager(pleasant hispanic woman) and asked if there was anything she could do, I suggested that she have a one on one with her dishwasher and make sure he SOAKS the flatware as i’m sure it sits on a crate and then it’s ran thru the dishwasher. This was the 3rd time this happens, just go to Denny’s!!!

Normally, I wouldn’t bother writing about a chain coffee shop restaurant. More or less average food. Just what I expected. But… What was really beyond average to me was the number of wait staff working on a Sunday morning. 19 servers. Almost more servers than customers. When we inquired with our server if this was some sort of special training with large number of wait staff, she advised that this is typical for this store, however at the IHOP where she worked previously the usual was five servers. This place needs to reexamine staff behavior, What a mess. The majority of floor staff were just standing around up front, blocking the space, chatting and horsing around with each other. Actually saw a woman in a Host red shirt standing in the register area eating out of her bag of Doritos. Astonishing. Can not imagine that is recommended behavior in the company training. A few minutes later, the same woman was hollering across the reception area to one of her coworkers, who hollered back«I CAN’T HEARYOU.» Jeez, people please: You ought to get your hearing checked because the rest of us had no problem with your high volume personal conversation. Completely rude and off-putting. No evidence of a Manager on Duty(8-11-2013, 8 — 8:30AM), or at least no one showing leadership. Poor, poor IHOP. Very sad. Can this culture be saved? It pains me that the«Home of the Rooty Tooty Fresh & Fruity» has come to this. :-((

Out of all the Ihop’s I’ve been too… I must say this place is very bad!!! Food is cold & seems like they’re very gritty with serving you your meal literally it’s like mini bite size portions… Service is terrible!!! It doesn’t even deserve a star…

Compared to all the other IHOPS I’ve been to, this one is a solid 4 stars. I had a perfectly pleasant experience here. Our server was very accommodating and friendly. When we got our food, my dining companion whispered to me «does that look like three eggs? seems a bit less.» The waiter IMMEDIATELY appeared by our table and offered to add on some extra eggs. Holy smokes, Batman… #1, you’re the best waiter ever. #2 how did you hear us whispering over our eggs? As for the food, I’m glad to see that IHOP has some healthy options on the menu now. After 5 days of traveling through the Southwest, my spinach, swiss, mushroom, and tomato omelet was tasty AND refreshing. My boyfriend, who has no concerns about HIS waistline or figure, had the red velvet pancakes. And yes. I stole some. OK. I stole a lot. It was SO good. Skinny jeans be damned. It’s got cream cheese icing drizzled on top, for christ’s sake. Diet starts tomorrow. For now, go get yourself some red velvet pancakes.

Stopped by here on a Saturday evening on our way back to Phoenix from Cali. The entire visit was just bad. The young kid who was our waiter was clueless and absent most of our visit. There was maybe one other couple there and yet it took over 30 minutes to get our food. When I asked for a couple of pieces of lettuce, our waiter told me they would have to charge me extra… for a couple of pieces of lettuce. Really? The waitresses were also ruse and I was juts not impressed at all with this place. Save your money and eat somewhere where else.

so for the FOURTH time i come to this place, a big dissapointment! Either it be crappy service or something wrong with the food, i found hair in my food a few times and either time i get excuses from managers on either why i get crappy service or think i want more food after finding hair in it. I cant say other Ihops are like this because i have been to others. Maybe hair nets for cooks is a good start and better people skills from managers. Iam never coming here again. So others should inspect thier food a bit before hand. Over all i would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

Stopped by on our way back to Phoenix. I thought we couldn’t go wrong with IHOP… I was wrong! Wait wasn’t bad for a Saturday morning… we were seated and had to flag down someone to take down our order. Our waitress in training took our order. Food came to our table, but they didn’t bring the pancakes that were part of our order. No silverware, either. I asked the guy about my pancakes and he said he would bring them right out… be brought them but they were the wrong kind. Our waitress stopped by and asked about our meal(my friend was over half way done with her crepes) and I asked about the pancakes. She apologized and disappeared for a bit and then brought the pancakes. By this time my friend was just about done with her meal. This is IHOP, right? Where pancakes are their specialty? Not sure why all the delays. The food was good and they did adjust the bill to make up for the mixups and our server in training was really apologetic. Bad staff experience at our hotel… bad staff experience here. Is it a Yuma thing?

Rolled into this IHOP right off the I-8 headed east at about 8am on Memorial Weekend, Saturday(5⁄23), for breakfast. Good thing we weren’t in too much of a hurry because the service was slow. What made waiting more uncomfortable were the ragged chair cushions. Everyone in my party attempted to switch chairs with adjacent tables. Too bad those chairs were just as terrible. It’s like they just gave up on having any nice chairs in our section of the place. The food was ok, but the chairs didn’t make us want to stick around one second longer than we had to.

Arrived here this morning at 9 and there was a bit of a wait but nothing too long. I had the big steak omelette and an apple juice [: Our waitress Kristen was fantastic! I left an extra tip for her wonderful service. My omelette was perfection and left a smile on my face. I love this location!
