Everything we had was authentic and fantastic. The chips and guacamole were light, yet flavorful. The shrimp cocktail was SO good… definitely suggest that.

Ok, so I’ll admit that as a fisherman and San Diego native my standards for both Mexican food and seafood are quite high, but here’s the breakdown. The grilled shrimp taco was average, the fried fish taco was above average because the fish was very nice, and the carne asada taco was poor because it lacked marinade and one small taco had five inedible chunks of meat. For me, the amount of inedible carne asada in a menu item is the main way I judge an establishment’s carne asada. The service, menu, and prices were good.

Their caldo de 7 mares is great but everything else is eh. Service is great. Everyone is friendly. A bit pricey though.

One of my favorite places in Yuma. Food is delicious and always made fresh to order. The girls are awesome and the service is great. I take everyone to this place when they’re visiting Yuma. I have been a customer for over two years and will definitely continue going there.

I was here on business for the week and decided to Unilocal for my craving of seafood. Mariscos Mar Azul came up as ranked #1. The reviews showed promise and the pictures had my saliva glands going. Yum! The restaurant is clean and nice looking. Small place but great. Service is wonderful the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I got myself a campechana. Wow! I’ve never had one like this. Shrimp, Octopus, Oysters, Scallops. Whaa! and let me tell you they don’t skimp on these ingredients. At first I did doubt the broth by the look(very light in color) but no it was rich in flavor. Just added some salt lemon and tapatio. Bomb! a medium was very filling. And those Toritos they got. Man! Something out of Dr. Frankenstein lair. What a creation… Have one. Just have one or two three four five… They’re good. If I’m ever back in Yuma I will definitely be making a stop here.

Had dinner here with 6 others and everyone was happy but one person. Seafood was good, Carne Asada tacos were great, the bbq shrimp was terrible tho so trust me you won’t like it. 5 of us treated the bbq shrimp and on one like it. Service was great, very very nice staff.

Excellent mahi mahi tacos! The toritos were also excellent. Be sure to use the sauce that comes with them. Very friendly staff. Next time we’re in town we’ll be sure to eat there again.

This place was surprisingly meh considering the 4.5 star average with other Unilocalers. The wife and I had dinner here while passing through Yuma. Found it here on Unilocal and was really surprised at it. The food was okay. Not great. I had the carne asada plate which is actually three tacos served with a side of lime rice and refriend beans. The carne asada was rather dry as if it had been sitting around since lunch. Still not terrible. My wife had a fish taco and carne asada taco and said the same thing. Okay, but not nearly as good as were expecting based on other folks’ reviews. Horchata was okay but a little thin. Served in a giant cup and I was offered a refill which you don’t usually get in most places. Chances are I’ll never be back in Yuma. If I am, I’ll try other Mexican places before coming back here.

We come in on a Saturday, 2-ish in the afternoon, thinking we have evaded the lunch rush hour. Wrong. Place is packed! What does that tell you about the food? shrimp tacos. Check. carne asada tacos. Check. coctel de camaron. Pretty addicting. Mocajelte. Hub’s one and only love(other than his wifey if course). It’s like a cold seafood stew, and it tastes much better than how I described it. Chevela-I have mine made 50⁄50. Half shrimp juice, half Clamato, then you pour in your beer of choice(in my case, a Bud). It is served in a huge glass, an order of this baby is enough. Service and staff – fast and frequent checking on if you need anything else, a refill on your iced tea, etc. Love!

This is the seafood spot in Yuma. I have been here a number of times. The whole fried fish is fun and reminds me of Mexico. The tortitos appetizer has a thicker breading now. I like the old thin batter. Still good with the vinegary sauce but different. Shrimp ceviche is fantastic. Shrimp taco is still great. Gorbenero taco with shrimp is cheesy gooey mess. So good! No wifi. Great michelada(sp) with a shrimp. Parking is out front. Always outstanding service. The night I was there the power went out and the server let us order another beer and she was in great spirits. The table next to us played music from their phone and it made for a memorable evening. If you have friends that like seafood. Take them here.

I decided to stop by here on the way from San Diego to Phoenix. After my trip over in San Diego I really wanted to get some local Mexican food in Yuma and I found this restaurant through Unilocal. On first glance this restaurant doesn’t look like much especially with the area that it’s located in but trust me this place is a hidden gem in Yuma. The service was friendly and I never encountered any issues with my meal. After looking over the menu with quite a few options I decided on something simple and went with two fish & shrimp tacos. I do have to say that their tacos were delicious! If I had to choose though I did prefer the shrimp tacos over the fish tacos, though I was more than satisfied with both. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Yuma especially for people like myself who are just passing through Yuma on the way to our destinations. I could have gone to one of the many restaurants on 16th St which is right off the I-8 and was so glad that I decided on going to Mariscos instead.

Not much variety to choose from here in Yuma AZ when it comes to food except for mariscos. Arguably, this is the best mariscos here in Yuma according to a friend so gave this place a shot. With tons of other restaurants to compare this to, I can say the food was decent for what’s offered in the area. With the shrimp tacos being ok, the two highlights were the toritos(fried stuffed peppers) and the seafood chowder. The peppers already had a good taste on its own but the sauce provided with it gave it a much better flavor. The seafood chowder was simply delicious, no other way to explain it. The snails in the chowder was awesome. So much so that if possible, I would have asked for all snails but chances are the chowder was already prepared with the other seafood that’s included. The server Stephanie was cool providing fast and friendly service. All dish’s were served fast with small waits. The prices are reasonable as well. With that being said, I’m satisfied with this choice for lunch. Lunch 5÷30÷2015

Thank you, Unilocal family! I’m visiting Yuma for the day and we decided to Unilocal for a restaurant for dinner. We were craving mariscos and saw the reviews for Marazul so we decided to give it a try. Without your help we would not have found this place. Great food all around. I had fish tacos and shrimp Cocktail. It absolutely hit the spot. And on top of it all, there were about 20 different kinds of hot sauce to choose from. If I’m ever lost in Yuma again, I know where I’ll be stopping.

This place was fantastic. I ventured in due to Unilocal reviews and it did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and had great flavor. I loved my shrimp ceviche. The hot sauce assortment on the table was pretty cool too. The best part was excellent service. My server was friendly and attentive. My food came out really fast. She even offered to put the rest of my horchata in a to-go cup when I was leaving. This was the best food I had while in Yuma.

Excellent service and excellent food! Thank goodness for Unilocal because without it, I would have never found this place and if I did find it, I probably wouldn’t have eaten there. A small little restaurant in Yuma, AZ is not the first place I would think to go for great seafood but thanks to all the great reviews, I decided to give it a try. Start with a Torito– it’s like a chile relleno and a jalapeño popper made a baby under the sea! You won’t regret it. I also had the Shrimp Ceviche tostada and Gobernado(?) shrimp taco(I don’t really know what it’s called but it was recommended by my server). Both were incredible. If I had a second stomach, I would still be sampling their dishes. I can’t wait to go back and try the seafood cocktails, they looked incredible.
