Major-league expensive! We were vacationing recently in the Lake Tahoe area — we’re from the Houston area. Instead of packing extra clothes for our 10-day trip, we thought it would be more cost-effective to have clothes cleaned/laundered while there rather than packing an extra bag and paying the $ 35 fee for another checked bag on the airline. Wrong thinking … we could have packed two extra suitcases for less than the cleaning tab. I had 4 shirts and 1 pair jeans laundered and my spouse had 4 shirts and 3 pants dry-cleaned. Our bill was $ 84.10, compared to a recent cleaning/laundry bill at home totaling $ 33.52 for 19 shirts laundered and 4 pants dry-cleaned. Needless to say — we felt raped and pillaged! They could have at least bought us dinner or a drink first. Is this normal pricing, or did we get the tourist special? Otherwise, we were satisfied with the cleaning. Perhaps posting the prices would have at least been fair warning to the pending financial assault. Interestingly, the store front didn’t open until 9AM compared to 7AM in the Houston area for most dry-cleaner locations.

Lela is amazing. The fact she was so willing to help me was way above and beyond! Changed my perspective on dry cleaners! I will be bringing my business here from now on because they actually care!!!

This place is great. I got a pair of designer jeans altered with an original hem for $ 17 and there was a one business day turn around! I will definitely be returning next time i need jeans hemmed. The blonde at the counter was very friendly as well.

We had a great experience with Bobby Page’s Cleaners. We had some very aging and heavy draperies at our vacation rental that badly needed cleaning. It was a big job, as the drapes extended across the entire living room and master bedroom, from floor to ceiling. David drove to Tahoe Keys, and removed the drapes + liners, and took them in for cleaning. When we decided to skip the cleaning altogether and purchase honeycomb shades instead, he offered to donate the draperies on our behalf, and send us the donation receipt. But that wasn’t the end. We needed the blackout drapes re-installed temporarily for a guest that was visiting, because the shades were still on order. David returned to our home in Lake Tahoe, and REINSTALLED the(dirty) black out drapes for this guest, and did not charge us! This was one of the best customer service experiences we have had in South Lake Tahoe. Although I cannot personally vouch for the quality of their cleaning, I give them 5-stars for customer service.

I have two issues with my experience at this Bobby Page’s store. First, if you are dropping off dry cleaning, this place is not bad. But I went in to get my slacks hemmed. I was told to change into my pants in the bathroom and it was disgusting! They had a mini-fridge and microwave in there, plus there were dirty dishes and other random stuff around such as a make-up bag and a shaving cream bottle. There was nowhere to put my stuff down(not even hooks to hang my pants or jacket) so I had to push aside the crap on the table to make room. But I got my pants tailored anyways because I needed it done. My second issue is when I got the pants back, they were still too long and the stitching was terrible. The employee stated she was having a hard time determining how long the pant legs should be since they were«more narrow towards the bottom.» This did not leave me with an impression that she knew what she was doing. Also, unless you need your slacks shortened a lot, they shouldn’t cut them. But my slacks were cut and the stitching was so bad it was visible on the outside with a ring around the bottom of the pant leg. I did bring my pants back and they did fix the stitching, but I would not take my clothing to be altered here again. For a company that advertises an «expert alteration staff,» they do not know basic tailoring.
