The best BBQ around. Super friendly. Try the pulled pork nachos. Enough for two. Blow that they come to Union Gap.

Showed up at Bale Breaker Brewery at noon planning on having lunch and a few brews. We were informed the truck was broke down and it would be a while before the could get going again. It was another 45 minutes until they started taking orders so we finished our beer and left. Would come back to Bale Breakers but disappointed in Kim’s.

Tip, when you don’t have food, don’t continue to sell it. Waiting an hour for food when we paid for a wine tasting day pass is not okay. We don’t know about the quality or the flavor but we do know your customer service sucks.

These guys were a joke. Sold us food they didn’t have and blamed it on coyotes from the night before. Ordered at 3:45 and I don’t have food at 4:34. This is not a good food truck experience. I guess this is how Central Washington runs. Disappointing. When I said in school«my dog ate my homework. I still had to do the assignment.» Should also apply to adults.

Wow! Way too much smoke flavor added to literally everything we ate. Smoke flavored mac ‘n cheese? No thank you. The set-up was nice and they pronounced our names correctly, really the only positive for our lunch experience.

Yes! love Kim’s Got Smoke! So delicious, and rare to find good southern bbq in Washington, but wow they got it right! Their sauces are all awesome! I especially enjoyed the mustard bbq sauce. Recommend getting the ribs! very smokey and tender The pulled pork nachos were pretty yummy, but probably could use a different cheese(not nacho cheese) but instead a nice shredded cheddar or maybe smoked gouda to go with the flavor of the pork. Besides that, great service, great smiles! Loved having such food to compliment the beer at Bale Breaker.

Kim’s, from what we tasted at Bale Breaker last weekend, is fairly okay… which is a HUGE statement to make about any BBQ in Washington. Their smoking is kinda slap-dash(they use, apparently, just any ol’ wood they can find laying around) and the Q suffers for it.(Would be FAR better if they went with hickory and stopped trying to just wing it. Even just mesquite would be an improvement) But their technique is sound and the end result is tasty and edible; a LONG way from what a North Carolinian like me would expect and it certainly wouldn’t cut it for a Texas or KC native, either, but it was a real relief to me to find any source for BBQ in WA state — aside from Dickey’s and Thank You Jesus they expanded to here! — that I really wasn’t that put off by the muddled smoke. The texture was fine, there was plenty of smoke flavor, however indistinct it was, and the only off-note, to me, was a pretty aggressive rub that gave the stuff a kind of potted meat overtone. All in all, though, it beats the hell out of flying to Denver to get good BBQ(which is pretty much when I eat it, now) or bustin’ out the smoker in the middle of a busy weekend. I’d eat Kim’s again, maybe not often but willingly.

Came across these folks at the end of Bale Breaker Brewing’s summer BBQ weekend. Excellent BBQ’d meats and sides, best I’ve had in Washington, and from a truck that has only been in the biz for a few months! We had the chicken, pulled pork and ribs, all were excellent, especially the ribs which were so tender they didn’t just fall off the bone, the bones themselves actually broke apart when you bent them. You gotta try their smoked Mac and cheese too, crazy good. And the bacon-loaded baked beans are amazing. The owners are great, you can tell they love what they do and take pride in making people happy and full. Keep up the great work, hope to enjoy your BBQ again sometime soon!

I love big finds in small towns! It was the Spring Barrel 2014 event in Yakima this past weekend and a lot of the various wineries were smart to have food vendors outside of their tasting room. We were privileged enough to try Kim’s Got Smoke on their opening day. The BBQ was fall of the bone tender, great smokey flavor and the sauce had the perfect consistency of tangy, sweet and kick. As we were enjoying our BBQ, the owner/cook came to check on us. I gave him a thumbs up! Their baked beans and cole slaw side dishes were awesome too! If you’re in the Yakima Valley, this is a definite must try spot for BBQ!
