Great big d’s I can put in my mouth. Water is reasonably priced as well. Free refills come with it. Although it is a bit pricy

I’ve had lunch here several times and the food is good. The staff is top notch and over the top helpful with anything you need or want to ask. I was given a sample of some meat that they had just cooked and was cutting up to show me the quality of the meat that their deli carries. Their prices are gonna be pretty hard to beat and when you factor in the quality of the meat… Forget about it.

I absolutely love this place! No matter what I get its good. Yes it’s in zionsville so some people’s expectations are an upscale type place but this is not that at all. The guys who run it are hilarious and always attentive. The food is always great and it’s always full of «regulars». I highly recommend this place and make it a point every time I’m working in zionsville to have my lunch there.

Having never been here before, I thought I’d give it a try. I was sure service would be pretty quick since it was after any lunch-hour rush and there was hardly anyone there. I assumed wrong, and must have waited 10 – 15 minutes for a single Reuben sandwich for takeout. After unwrapping it I wondered if it was ok to eat — the meat was ½ red and ½ brown(was it corned beef + roast beef? old corned beef that had browned?). It didn’t have an off smell so I took my chances, I had waited too long and paid too much(over $ 9.00!) for it. It had absolutely no flavor whatsoever, and I literally had to force myself to finish eating it. That, as well as the dirty appearance of the restaurant, have turned me off from ever going back.

Raised the review from 4 to 5 stars. I saw that today’s special was the Cuban sandwich and knew immediately where I was heading for lunch(see previous review). All I can say is «WOW!» I also spent some extra time talking with Martin. What a great guy. Fantastic customer service from everyone who works there as well. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and the food is top notch. The chef obviously loves food and is proud of what he makes. He sent out a sample of a soup. The person who brought it out said they’re thinking about serving soup in the future and wanted us to try it. Man, was it ever good. I would describe it as a turkey chowder. Large chunks of turkey breast in a nice thick, rich, creamy base, with some potato and a little bacon. Kinda like potato soup with turkey. Mmm-mm! They appear to make everything to order. If you’re in a hurry, I was told to call ahead and they’ll have the order waiting for either eat-in or take-out.

Awesome. Best reuben I’ve had in a long time. I saw some bad reviews, and something saying there’s new ownership. I don’t know anything about any of that. I came in hungry, I got an amazing sandwich quickly, everyone was friendly. I’m happy and I’ll be coming back.

20 minutes for a hot turkey sandwich? Just confusing how unorganized a place can be and stay in business? Same guy that took my cash went over to handle the turkey and lettuce. The sandwich was delicious, and well made. But I will not be back.

New cook and new owners. They are rocking it. They have cleaned up the place and are really making some outstanding specials Mike the cook comes up with some really tasty meals. You can’t go wrong with the steak burger. One of the best in town. For breakfast the steak and eggs are two meals in one. Where else can you get a great steak for $ 12. Then they have Triple X rootbeer if you want a great Indiana made rootbeer that is not all sugar water. Keep an eye out for the steak nights. Yum.

Great place for a sandwich is Zionsville. Not on Main Street but worth finding. Zville Melt is the best.

Not what I expected. Inside is very cluttered almost dirty. Menus are just laminated typed papers with little description so I wasn’t sure what to get. I didn’t realize it was going to be on stale sliced white bread. I was expecting a deli sub. I could have made this $ 7.99 sub at home. In any case I wanted to try it but won’t go again. Staff was pleasant though.

Not the cleanest place, but definitely great food! It’s got that legitimate old school feel to it, so someone who’s looking for a «cleaner» experience might not like it, but for someone looking for the GREAT eat experience — both taste and quantity wise — will love it!

Just the facts… 20 min wait for Hot Pastrami on Rye with Swiss and spicy mustard. Got sandwich, had to request drink, changed it «to go» due to wait. Mustard never made it onto a moderately made sandwich. This is local favorite… Based on personality only. IMHO Never ordered a ‘Deli’ sandwich and drink for $ 12 and not gotten a pickle?

Great deli with great quality food. At first when walking in I was a bit nervous as this is a whole in the wall place however after my first bite I was sold. Customer service was great and were very friendly when helping me pick out a sandwich as they had so so many great options to choose from. I got the half chicken club and it was amazing. My husband got a turkey club and after every bite he made some type of comment about how great the sandwich was. Only thing I would caution is the portions are large!

lucky for them i have to give them at least one star. what slum business owner has a website that says they are open 8am-1pm on sunday and then doesnt have any sort of answering machine on their not one but two phone lines. so we drive the 30 minutes over to this place and they were closed.

I am currently interning nearby and searched for a place around that served sandwiches(which are by far my favorite lunch food). This place caught my eye due to having quality meats and being local. The menu is simple, yet perfect. I decided on a hot pastrami sandwich true to character on marble rye(plus other amenities). Best ever, and I’ve had NY pastrami sandwiches. Nice to know I’ll be well fed while I’m here.

California grilled cheese… an amazing and unique sandwich! Pleasant staff, excellent baked goods, huge servings and an extensive sandwich menu! You can’t go wrong when you stop here for lunch. This is an excellent case for supporting local restaurants.

Yum, yum, yum! Why don’t I go here more often?! I forget about it, but that is no excuse! They make fantastic sandwiches — probably best around! Every time I go I get the Z-Ville melt. It is so good, I can’t bring myself to order anything else. Luckily I’ve tasted other things thanks to dining companions. And it was all great! The Z-ville($ 7.99) has moist shaved turkey, sweet ham, bacon, tomato, lettuce and a special sauce on tasty sourdough bread. Pure heaven! I think they serve breakfast all day, too. It is a quirky, cute, messy, mix of stuff inside. I woudn’t change a thing! And locally owned, to boot! Drop everything and get here(before 2pm weekdays and 1pm weekends)!

The old saying, «you get what you pay for» is absolutely correct here. Except in a positive way! Dave has always delivered HUGE quantities of food at a very reasonable price. Doreen, Abby, and Martin are always pleasant also. It is great to walk in to a place where you know the entire staff by name and they know«you» by name! My personal favorite breakfast options are: 1. Taylor Pork Egg & Cheese on Wheat(excellent tasting meat, great for a quick on the go sandwich) 2. Skillet Breakfast(Eggs, bacon, hash browns, tomatoes, & cheese. Enough to feed My wife, daughter, and I for around $ 8) My personal favorite lunch options are: 1. Zville Melt(awesome, awesome sandwich served on a hoagie sub, with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and a special sauce. WARNING: extremely filling!) 2. Steakburger(puts steak-n-shake to shame!) Needless to say, this is a staple in the Zionsville community and we will be coming back for sure!
