Fondé en 2015.
Bighorn Bistro is a family business owned and operated by Susan and her two children, Hannah and Morgan along with two very close family friends, Max and Davy. The idea for the restaurant was born out of a mutual love of food and the lifestyle that only Chamonix can offer. Susan, Hannah and Morgan lived outside Paris for many years and visited Chamonix often for the winter sports as well as the summer.
Susan is an accomplished pastry chef who spent her childhood in Montana and Wyoming. Her passion in the kitchen began when she was 9 years old with her grandmother, baking apple pies for big hungry families on the farm. She cultivated her talents over the years both in her first trattoria in Seattle, Washington and more casually during her years in Paris, learning to bake her American recipes with French ingredients. Susan has spearheaded this project from the start and brings her enthusiasm and gifts to Bighorn daily. She is the face behind the delectable baked good found in th

Susan has been baking most of her life, but had a long and successful career as a nurse in many large hospitals
in the United States. She developed a passion for long distance running and made that a priority for the past 25 years.
Her love for Chamonix came with running the Mont Blanc marathon and the UTMB at their inception.
