I randomly chose this Japanese restaurant because it was next door to my hotel. I had eaten Japanese in Paris before and although it’s different than in the USA, I like the French style meat brochettes. I ordered some sushi with tuna and some of the meat brochettes. The salad and soup to start were good. However, the tuna was not bright red like in the USA. In Europe, it’s illegal to treat the tuna with CO gas, so you can’t be deceived of its freshness. This tuna was a dark purple, and I don’t really know if that meant it is fresh or not. I guess I’m too used to USACO treated tuna. For the brochettes, it was beef steak, beef and cheese, salmon, meatball, and chicken. The chicken was slightly undercooked and the beef was practically inedible. The restaurant was full of customers at around 8pm so I guess it’s popular amongst the locals. I, however, remember having much better food at other Japanese restaurants in Paris in the past.
