This place is worth checking out if you are ever in Japan. They have a little bit of everything here. I ended up buying some beauty products here since they have a section for that and my boyfriend went to the games and toys section to pick up some gundams. It is also pretty cool just to walk around and check out some of their products.

The staff are generally helpful, but I think that they would have to be. This place is massive, with buildings all over around the west exit of shinjuku station. It can be really confusing if you’re looking for a specific thing, because although they have many signs and maps placed around the various building, the labeling can be a little ambiguous. For example, say you’re looking for camera supplies. In some cases, you’ll find what you’re looking for in the camera department. That makes sense and everything, but then, what if you’re looking for film? Turns out that’s in another building. Or what if you need to get your camera fixed? That’s again somewhere else. However, the staff is really helpful, so if you just ask someone, they’ll usually point you in the right direction. No luck if you have crazy social anxiety and just wanna get in and out without talking to anyone, though.

It’s big, it’s flashy, it’s humongous – it’s the biggest thing you’ll ever see in your life: it’s the Yodobashi Camera store.
If you go to Shinjuku, this should definitely be on your list. It’s hard to miss once you step away from the busy Shinjuku intersection and into the alleys. I came here a few years ago, and it is one of my most memorable experiences in Tokyo to date – 6 floors of all kinds of electronics and in-​your-​face, flashy sale/​promotion tags – makes Best Buy look like an underdog. There are dozens of cameras with the latest technology that you’ll see in the U.S. in… maybe a year or two? If it’s a Japanese brand, it is mostly cheaper than you’d find at a retail store elsewhere – plus, they have an endless variety of designs and products you probably won’t find back home.
I’m not a huge electronics junkie but because there’s so much of every kind of electronic product you can think of, I wanted to live here. Seriously, can you imagine SIX FLOORS, FILLED with endless electronics. That’s not the only part. The fun is also outside with cool machines. I don’t know if they’re still there, but there were express photo booth machines, which you can print photos just taken with your phone or camera or in your USB and the quality was superb – what did you expect?
Honestly, if you’re not the most technologically-​advanced person, this place will blow your mind, guaranteed. People aren’t kidding when they say Japan is the most technologically-​advanced country and even being from the U.S., this was like the pinnacle of a culture shock.
