Good food, great atmosphere, pretty cool location and easy to get to in the downtown area. We saw the lights one night and decided to try it out and are glad we did. Large portions of everything.

Must stop if your in Cabo! The service was second to none and the best we had all week. The atmosphere was amazing and the musicians were super talented. A lot of Gluten Free options. Only restaurant we found with a Gluten Free menu and the food was great! the outside lighting in the garden was such a nice setting for a nice dinner. We tried the strawberry and mango margaritas and they both were great! For sure a must stop while in Cabo. Pronounced«La Golan-drina »

This restaurant was excellent! Sent an email asking for a reservation and asking about their ability to accommodate food allergies and received a response within 10 minutes confirming the reservation and letting me know they would take care of whatever I needed. The setting was very cute with outdoor seating and lights strung through the trees. They publish the menu on a chalk board by the kitchen that you walk up to and look at. While standing there(probably looking confused) Alma came over to ask if I had any questions. Once I told her of my diet specifics she remembered me as the one that sent an email and helped me plan my entire meal translating any and all questions I had to the kitchen about the food preparation. The food was excellent and enjoyed by all of us in the party. The only negative part of our experience was the large table next to us that put all the children on one side of the table(closest to us) and clearly did not teach them manners or care to observe what they did during the meal, however this wasn’t a fault of the restaurant. The fish they get are fresh and you can have it prepared anyway you want! The owner Sissy checked in on us at the end of our meal as well to make sure everything was great. Given my food allergies I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to eat out while in cabo but Alma definitely took care of me!

We were looking for a restaurant that was walking distance from our condo and decided to give this one a try. The patio at night is very inviting and charming. We were seated immediately with no reservation, however I do understand that the place can fill up on a busier night. You order your meal after reviewing the huge menu board on the wall. Plenty of fresh fish and meat selections, even a few vegetarian as well. The dinners include a tostada salad, the soup of the day, and either beans and rice or potatoes of some sort. I ordered the sea bass and it was fantastic. Very fresh and cooked perfectly. Hubby ordered the Chicken Mole. Two large chicken breasts slathered with a spicy and beautiful mole sauce. While I am not a huge mole fan, this one I did like. You could taste so many different flavors and spices in this house made sauce. One thing to take note of — the portions are huge so don’t worry about that! Pricing — well it can be on the higher priced side as many Cabo restaurants share this in common. Plus you then ad 16−½% local tax on top of it. Service was spot-on and the owner was charming and talkative. Another important item — the restrooms were the spotless and very clean. Always a worry in many Cabo eateries. Give La Golondrina a try — I think you will enjoy the food.

Romantic mostly outdoor big patio restaurant. Lots of choices on the menu. The whole gambit: meats, fishes, vegetarian, regional Mexican dishes on the menu. Service is friendly and really impeccable. Plate portions are GIANT! Meals start with a small bowl of soup followed by a green salad. Meals we had were delicious enough but by no means spectacular. Plate presentation is adequate, but not fancy. Prices range from reasonable, my chicken mole’ dinner was $ 19. My wife’s huge fresh sea bass with all the trimmings was $ 22. Full bar. Wines are Chilean, so the few we had were adequate but not up to my standards as a Sonoma CA resident. Conclusion: Better than most other restaurants in CSL. Located 8 streets away from the downtown tourist insanity, it’s next door to the City Club mega store. Well worthy of your appetite and time. Go!

A must when in Cabo! Beautiful strings of mini lights provide a «ceiling» over the outdoor seating, they are scattered throughout the trees and bushes giving it a feeling of romance. Live mariachi music fills the air, fresh seafood and Mexican items on menu… it doesn’t get much better for ambiance, that’s for sure, especially for dinner! I have dined at La Golondrina every time I’ve been to my beloved Cabo San Lucas, I always will. The menu is HUGE, I mean huge. I’m not just talking the number of items to choose from, the actual size of the menu is ginormous, it is located on the wall so you have to go over and read it before ordering at your seat. Ok, so that can be a pain but the food makes it worth it. Mostly I’ve stuck with the traditional Mexican dishes here; flautas, enchiladas, chile verde, tacos, shrimp and scallops. However, members of my party have tried the Lobster Plate for Two(HUGE) and other various seafood/shellfish/steak items. I swear every one of us in our party, on every single visit, has always left completely satisfied and with a huge smile on our face! Margaritas are nice and strong plus flavorful… get a pitcher, you’ll want one! Mexican Coffee is supposed to be great also(I’m not a coffee drinker, but I see it lit up around the patio quite often). Desserts are rich and wonderful; hot fudge brownie with ice cream, flan, and there’s a sampler type of dessert you can order with 3 little minis on your plate. Great way to finish off your spicy, delicious meal. As much as I recommend this place to anyone and everyone that I know who will be visiting Cabo, I felt I should give it some props by reviewing it here as well! Muchas gracias La Golondrina… besos until next time! SALUD!

Great food and service. This place closes a bit later than some of the other restaurants on the same block. The waiters were very attentive even when we were the last customers there. Don’t forget to ask about their oldest tree.

Very disappointed. …we sat down got cozy and then we’re asked to move. We went to order dessert and told they were not serving the bananas Flambea but they kept it on the menu… we had only appetizers because we were looking forward to dessert. Don’t waste your time…

The ambiance of the courtyard and lights is romantic and beautiful. However, it ends there. The food is overpriced and only so-so at best. We ordered the shrimp combo for two. We are huge seafood lovers, but this dish left much to be desired. It was overlooked and lacked flavor. Also, the menu clearly stated $ 70USD; but, when presented with the bill, we were charged $ 82. Upon inquiring about the additional $ 12, we were told it was a tax! We have eaten at many restaurants in Cabo and have never seen this«17% tax» on our bill! There are many other delightful restaurants in Cabo that serve better seafood and don’t rip you off! Tourist trap!

I can’t say enough about the Thanksgiving dinner we had here. Best in 12 years. Not to mention there was a severe storm and it seemed a miracle the the storm subsided and this incredible turkey dinner was waiting upon arrival. My daughter wanted lobster instead and luckily they offered that as well. The chocolate cake was superb. Truly the best I’ve had in a long time. So that was a unexpected surprise. The service was incredible as always. Our family thanks you for such a special night

Very romantic. Order anything with the dynamite sauce. We love the shrimp or scallops with dynamite sauce. Best ceviche in Cabo. Go on Friday night for shrimp or scallops dynamite with a glass of house wine for only $ 425 pesos

I haven’t been this disappointed in dining experience in a long time. Maybe my husband and I are just spoiled(probably) due to our dining out so much in foodie SF. We decided to try this place out for my husband’s birthday, given the high ratings this place had. I don’t know what the deal was — maybe we hit a REALLY off night… maybe it was because it was«off-season»…I don’t know. But this place was a major let down. Let me first start by saying that the service was good — the people were very nice and attentive(although, I’d be surprised if they weren’t attentive since we were literally one of only three tables that were dining at the time… at 8PM!!!). The lack in audience didn’t bother us — we visited Cabo at the end of August, so a lot of places were slower than usual. The ambiance of the place is really cute as well. Loved eating outside under the trees and strings of lights. We also appreciated that they took notice that it was my husband’s birthday, and gave us free dessert at the end. The cake was awfully dry and we didn’t eat more than a couple of bites, but it was the thought that counts :) The«good» parts stop there. The food we ordered was not only over-priced(we ended up spending the same if not more than we would at a nice $$$-$$$$ place in SF), but was severely over-cooked. We ordered a combo plate to share with lobster and prawns. The prawns were«meh» — but the real disappointment was the lobster. We were SO excited to try the lobster — we were expecting fresh, «bursting/popping out of the shell» lobster tail. Instead what we got was lobster that was severely over-cooked, rough, and chewy. It almost had a «gritty» taste. We still enjoyed each other’s company — we can do so no matter where we are or what we’re doing. So my husband’s birthday wasn’t a total bust. But we would never recommend anyone trying this restaurant. That is, unless you want to be severely disappointed and pay way too much money for overcooked and unimpressive food. There are so many delightful places in Cabo that offer delicious food and very fresh seafood. Some other alternatives I’d suggest if you’re looking for a nice dinner out include: 1) Hacienda Cocina y Cantina(this restaurant a bit on the higher-end compared to other options in Cabo, but we ended up spending less money than our dinner at La Golondrina and the food was SOOOOOO much better!!! Not even in the same league!!), 2) El Farallon(wonderful views), or 3) Bar Esquina(at Bahia hotel — deeeeeeeeeeeelicious food, fun ambiance, and live music).

The last time I visited here it was good and now 7−10yrs later it is still a great place to eat. This place was formally called«The Trailer Park». The setting/ambiance is awesome. A must stop if eating dinner in town…

Lobster dinner was fantastic. Also had the bacon wrapped shrimp dinner. It’s pricey, the Beverly Hills restaurant of Cabo. It’s a hidden gem. Sitting under Christmas light lanterns under trees. Very romantic and fun for both couples and families. Try the Mexican coffee which is «made» at your table. Very tasty. Highly recommend.

I agree with another Unilocaler that this is probably the best seafood imaginable. Their seafood is fresh here. You can taste it, you can feel the smooth texture in your mouth. The ambiance is another important thing to mention here. Off-white lights are strung throughout the area… around trees… brushes…hanging down. Its so romantic. It’s an outdoor restaurant so when the weather is perfect, I recommend coming to eat dinner here. They don’t give you menus here. You go up to their menu board… look at what you want… and the waiter will come to your table once you’re ready. Sounds weird and different but it works. Trust, it’s not that difficult. I ordered the Cajun seasoned sea bass. Pretty good sized piece of fish. It also comes with a small scoop of lime flavored white rice with a dash of cilantro. Just typing this up makes my mouth salivate. My boyfriend ordered the two way snapper. That’s an entrée big enough to share between two people. It also comes with rice too… but it’s red rice. Very delicious and flavorful. Our entrees came with the soup of the day, which is lentil soup. I heard that they sometimes have tortilla soup as their soup of the day. So that may change quiet often. My boyfriend also ordered a Mexican coffee after dinner. It’s a pretty cool show… they make the drink in front of you… all while doing tricks and flairs with fire. Service was attentive. Food came out quick and they were genuinely happy to get us anything else we needed.

The ambience is quite something; the tables are set in the courtyard outside. The menu can be quite confusing at first glance but it is easy to figure once you understand how the menu works. The platters for 2 is generous and it can definitely feed more than two people. Few couples at the table were not able to finish their platter. It is not cheap though. Their flank steak was good, not spectacular but pretty solid for what it is. All their food is accompanied by a tostada salad and black bean soup. I am not a big fan of the beans but from what I heard from others, it was a BIGHIT. But for the price, I am not sure if it is quite worth it. But I think it’s a place to check out at least once if in Cabo.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Cabo, and we go every time we make the trip down to Cabo. We always get the surf & turf with lobster and steak. The lobster is succulent and probably as long as my arm(slight exaggeration), and the steak is tender & flavorful. The prices are decent for Cabo and what you get. The patio is beautiful with trees everywhere and hanging bulb lights, which makes it a great setting to eat in at night. This is a few blocks off the main drag in downtown Cabo, so a bit outside the touristy area.

Simply the best seafood imaginable. Anything more is superfluous information. Nonetheless… Recommended to me by a frequent visitor to cabo, I was skeptical of «the best lobster ever», however my love of food got the best of me. Located near the marina, the seafood is as fresh as possible. The décor includes trees, natural moon and starlight in addition to pleasant white Christmas lights. The menu is a communal menu on a large board by the easily visible kitchen area. Prices are displayed in both pesos and dollars. All entrees are served with salad, soup and either rice or mashed potatoes in addition to garlic bread and coleslaw. We opted to skip appetizers given the vast quantity of food that lay ahead and opted for the seafood combo for 2 which consisted of large quantities of lobster(2 full ones), crab(again 2 full ones), breaded calamari, grilled fish and butterflied shrimp. Everything was excellent, but the stars were the lobster and the crab. I am a pretty adventurous eater and lived in New Orleans for four years, but have no qualms saying this was the best seafood I have ever had! The prices were somewhat steep by Mexican standards(entrees ranging from 20 to 139 for the lobster for 2 which is over 5 lbs of lobster). That being said, the quality made everything worthwhile and the evening was a great experience. If in cabo and looking to splurge, look no further than la golondrina and your dreams will come true.
