Came here upon a recommendation and it did not disappoint! It was my first meal in Mexico and it definitely set the standards really high. There are a whole bunch of taco shops on the same block and trust me this one is the best! I came here every single day during my trip in Mexico. That’s how good it was! My favorite meat would be the Suadero, Al Pastor, and the Carne Asada would come in third. I barely speak any Spanish, but they were really nice and tried their best to understand me. Plus, they open late and the posada that I was staying at was only half a block away! Whoo hoo

This place was recommended by a local as the best place to get beef tacos in Ensenada. It was just ok, in my opinion. The best part of the taco was the tortilla, which was fresh & awesome. The carne asada was tender, but I prefer mine with a bit of the smoky flavor you get when grilling on a flame instead of a flat top. The best taco I had there was the Diablito(???). It was adovada mixed with chorizo. Aside from a bit too many chunks of fat from the adovada, it was pretty darn tasty. The trimmings were solid, but unspectacular. The atmosphere & the crew running the place were great, though. We might try it again, but I’ve had better carne asada in Phoenix(Don Panchos, baby!).

There are plenty of good taco shops in Ensenada. There aren’t many great ones. This place is a serious contender for all time yummy tacos & tortas. Killer food and killer hospitality! Very friendly staff and free refills on your horchata. I love this place! For the weary, its a great place to sit down, and close to our marina. For the cruise ship folks, turn right on the main drag and walk about 3 minutes.
