Mariscos Cisneros

My husband and I have been going to Mariscos Cisneros for almost 10 years during our annual trips to Vallarta. It is one of our MUSTS when we’re in town.
Up until a couple years ago, Mariscos Cisneros was «just» a cart on Aguacate street with bench seating and a couple of tables and chairs under a tree. A couple years ago, they expanded into a traditional restaurant right next to the cart, while keeping the outside dining still available. We’ve dined inside and outside.
As the name implies, they focus on seafood here, and the seafood is amazing. My husband especially loves their shrimp tacos. The shrimp are lightly breaded, and the tacos come with a great seafood sauce. I also especially like their crab tacos — a plate of three with a killer sauce (check out my photo). But check out their entire menu — delicious and authentic!
Beyond the great food, the Cisneros brothers are really nice and friendly people, who recognize us when we come back every year. We will continue to support them and their business each time we’re in town, and you should too!

The real deal, and pretty hard to beat a delicious lunch for two with beers for $ 10! I strongly recommend the mixed seafood quesadillas.

Absolutely love this place, always my first stop in Puerto Vallarta. The cart on the street is open all day if you’re looking for a quick and delicious taco, the restaurant behind is open all day and into the evening if you have more time. Cisneros is a local family business, the owners are working the grills at both the cart and the restaurant. The jalapeño relleno tacos are out of sight, and the octopus!!! Goodie goodie goodness. The octopus is tender and so flavorful. All the seafood is fresh and local, the preparations are simple, and the house made salsas alone are worth a visit.
If you finish a great meal at Cisneros after 6pm, skip across the street to the churro cart that sits just in front of Iglesia Santa Cruz. Wonderful churros– extra crispy and so light!

Delicious! So glad we came to eat here. We ordered a quesadilla mix of shrimp/​octopus and a plate of ceviche (came with tostadas). They accept credit card.

Their tacos are deliciously good and cheap. For about 15 – 25 pesos you can get fish, shrimp, or stuffed pepper tacos. I recommend the octopus or pulpo taco; delicious!

The best fish tacos ever. Every single time I go back home to L.A. this is one of the reasons I want to come back to PV. Recommend: Taco de Chile relleno (very spicy), Taco de Brocheta de Camaron, Pescado Capeado and last but not least the Taco de Mariscos Mixtos (yum). Seriously everything is good… my mouth is watering.

fabulous food, try the stuffed calamar, really lovely personal service. nice courtyard.
