To be honest, Mleczarnia Jerozolimska is my favorite bar mleczny in Warsaw, and at one point I actually went here 2 – 3 times a week when I was living here between 2011 and 2012. It really helps that they’re clean, with the cleanest toilets of any bar mleczny I’ve seen in Warsaw, and probably Poland as a whole! I actually really go here for their pierogi, and I’ve tried virtually every option they’ve offered on the menu, with my favorites being their pierogi z mięsem(meat pierogi), pierogi ze szpinakiem(spinach pierogi) and pierogi z kapustą i grzybami(pierogi with cabbage and mushrooms). For the price(10 – 12 zł), the portions were really good, though I was disappointed when I came back here in April after a long hiatus, since they used to give nine pieces per plate. Now they only give seven pieces per plate. Their other dishes are actually okay. Their tomato soup is quite good, but be sure to have it with the noodles. Their żurek meanwhile is okay, but I’ve had better in another part of Warsaw. They have good naleśniki though, which is a good way to round off a meal here. All in all, go! I’m a big fan of this place, and with some minor improvements, they’re definitely a bright spot in Warsaw’s culinary map.

As a young lass in Warsaw my mom would frequent this place before she emigrated to the States. She loved it! So when I told her it was still around she told me I had to go try the food swearing I would not be disappointed. Well, *dramatic sigh*, this time mother did not know best :)! What a disappointment! Between my carnivorous Easter and knowing that during the upcoming Majowka I would be gorging on tons of grilled meat, I thought it best to order the vegetarian option they offered. The dish was supposed to be meatballs in a spicy sauce with mashed potatoes. I say supposed to be because the«meatballs» were more like rocks. God knows the ingredients but they were hard and chalky. The sauce didn’t help much with breaking down this concrete like substance. The potatoes were over-salted. The carrot salad and cabbage salad were okay. The dish cost around 15 zl. Absolutely not worth the cost. There are so many other places nearby on Nowy Swiat where for about 5 zl more you could get a really tasty lunch meal. Avoid this place like you do a crying baby on airplanes!
