Pijalnia Czekolady E. Wedel

My heart is melting. I walked in on an entire room full of little kids creatively decorating their cookies with white frosting, with all the kid chatter and adults going from table to table to coach them. So adorable. If someone brought in a puppy this moment, I would probably die.
Chocolate place with very old, beautiful interior. Spacious, with high ceilings and multiple rooms with a variety of seating. A great, unique place for business meetings or intimate conversations with friends.
Bathrooms: Lovely marble tiled interiors, spacious, and clean.

The place is nice, calm and romantic. The drinks is better than the food though. The brownie i bought was a disappointment. And we ordered a chocolate fountain and they didn’t ask us about the type of chocolate we want and brought us what’s ready. The chocolate was bitter so we asked to change it and they has us wait for someone to talk to just to solve the «problem» and then when they finally decided to change it they took too long that we had to cancel the order and go home!

One of my favorites chocolateries in Europe! Seriously there is something about this place that will make you travel in time to a happy place.
The moment you open the door, your lungs are filled with exquisite smell and all your senses are eagerly waiting for the moment to indulge a piece of chocolate.
The menu is extensive and all options are a flavorful guarantee. To my perception, the semi-​dark drinking chocolate with double milk is extraordinary. If it’s your first time you may want to try the tasting drink menu to find out your perfect mix between sweet, milk and dark chocolate.
If what you are looking for is a souvenir from Warsaw, you came to the right place. All sort of chocolates and small sweets in beautiful boxes to give a taste of love to friends or family.
If you had the same luck we had, your waitress will be triple passionate about her job and willing to give you recommendations. If you are curious like myself, they can walk you through the details between the chocolates and beverages!
Tourist, local, summer or winter, this place is a must visit!

Incredibly beautiful chocolate café with chocolate in any form you could ask for. We each had some truffles and a cup of hot chocolate. When I say hot chocolate I don’t mean some sugary chocolate powder mixed with milk, but thick melted bitter sweet chocolate poured over sour cherry jam. You can mix any type of chocolate with any flavoring you want. I would recommend getting the pure chocolate (no coffee) and getting a dark variety since the mix-​ins were quite sweet.

Fantastic place if you love chocolate and sweet stuff in general! Founded more than 150 years ago, you will find amazing hot and cold chocolate, chocolate waffles, ice cream, truffles, tiramisu and everything you could imagine. Don’t go for the food which average at best but 5 stars for the ambience and amazing chocolate

I really enjoyed my stay in the café. It was kinda crowded. However, service was very friendly and they made very good recommendations on cake, pralinés and coffee!

Si tu es à Varsovie, tu es fan de chocolat et t’es pas allé goûter le chocolat chaud chez Wedel alors tu n’as rien compris.
Déjà le décor peut paraître un peu kitch, mais c’est bien évidemment le but. Il fait un peu «La Pologne des année 90». À chaque fois que j’y suis, je sais pas pourquoi mais je me sens plus classe et plus distinguée.
Ils ont une grande variétés de desserts et de chocolat à boire. Le meilleur chocolat est sans doute le traditionnel, il est épais et très sucré. C’est du vrai chocolat à boire, rien à voir avec le chocolat dans la plupart des endroits, qui est plus un cacao qu’un chocolat.
Les desserts sont aussi impressionnants. Vraiment, miam!
Si vous voulez faire un cadeau sucré à quelqu’un, ils font un gâteaux sec enrobé de chocolat personnalisé avec du chocolat bien sûr (vous dites ou vous dessinez ce que vous voulez dessus). Ils font ça sous 24 heures pour 30 zloty environ, ça vaut vraiment le coup.

Amère de né pas avoir assisté à l’événement Marcolini… je me venge sur la découverte d’une des meilleures chocolaterie Polonaise: E. Wedel !
C’est dan un joli décor avec de hauts plafonds que nous découvrons le lieu la première fois autour de notre chocolat chaud et notre cheescake ! Un délice! C’est aussi cette première fois que je découvre leur chocolat texture mi fondu mi pâte à tartiner: TUERIE !
Nous y retournons petit déjeuner le lendemain matin: chocolat chaud traditionnel (le meilleur), croissants, pain frais, beurre, miel et ce fameux chocolat délicieux!
Si je regrette que le chocolat chaud n’ait été (les 2 fois) que tièdes et pas chaud (chaud réconfortant quoi) ce fut de très chouettes expériences!
J’ai carrément acheté une tablette Wedel à l’aéroport pour combler le manqué…

Omg this is heaven on earth!!! You must try the bitter hot chocolate! It is the best warm chocolate I have had in my life. Not too sweet and so creamy and tasty. Wow!
About the café it is a chocolate shop and a café at the same time. It looks like it has been taken from an old movie with its red couches and chairs and large mirrors. The counters are old and wooden and so well preserved. This shop is a must visit!
We had the breakfast number three. It included two croissants, bread, cheese, one warm chocolate or coffee (as said take the chocolate) and some marmalade and chocolate paste. All fresh and delicious. And only for 25 zloty! Good for two persons!
The service was amazingly friendly. The menus had also English and the waitress communicated well enough with us with a big smile! You can buy lots of kind of goodies here too. Handmade chocolate mostly. Yum yum yum! This is a place that would become a favourite if I lived in Warsaw!

A wonderful creamy hot bitter chocolate with whipped cream with a melting chocolate cake. Wonderful tea time! Very kind and helpful service.

I love Wedel… it’s one of my favorite ‘cafes’ to visit internationally. It just has that classic feel where you could take in a good conversation but also excellent chocolate. Sometimes if I am really feeling it I get the liquid chocolate drink which is a rich, thick chocolate! Their truffles are amazing and it really depends on your taste but one of my favorites is the French.
Wedel’s staff is pretty versed in English so if you can’t speak or read Polish then you’ll still do fine here! :)

Stopped in here for a snack — very reasonably priced food with a chocolate theme. I got an assortment of pastries with chocolate dipping sauces. Nice place to take a break from sightseeing.

Das Café Wedel ist eines der bekanntesten Cafes in Warschau. Es ist gemütlich-​elegant eingerichtet und bietet einen sehr guten Service. Das Personal ist freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Die Getränke und Speisen im Café Wedel sind frisch zubereitet und von excellenter Qualität. Alles Bestellte war sehr lecker. Besonders zu empfehlen ist die heiße Schokolade Jedyna. Hier schmeckt man den hohen Kakaogehalt sehr gut raus. Außerdem gibt es eine heiße Schokolade bei der man sich zwischen weißer, Milch-​oder dunkler Schokolade entscheiden kann und dann einen Zusatz wählen kann (z.B. Erdbeere, Himbeere, Toffie,) Außerdem kann ich als Dessert die Crepes und den Apfelkuchen mit Vanilleeis sehr empfehlen. Auch die Sauberkeit kann überzeugen, weder im Lokal noch bei den WCs gab es etwas auszusetzen sehr zufriedenstellend. Das Café Wedel mag vielleicht nicht das günstigste in Warschau sein, aber für die guten Speisen und Getränke sind die Preise meiner Meinung nach sehr angemessen. Fazit: Wer in Warschau ist, sollte auf jeden Fall einmal bei Wedel einkehren, neben der Stammfiliale gibt es noch weitere Filialen in Warschau.

E. Wedel wurde 1851 von einem aus Deutschland eingewanderten Unternehmer, in Warschau gegründet.
Schlagt mich, aber ich schmeckte keinen Qualitätsunterschied zu z.B. Lindt Supermarkt Produkten. — Die Pralinen sehen gut aus, aber das sind doch keine Handwerksprodukte?

E. Wedel beschäftigt heute etwa 1100 Mitarbeiter in einer Fabrik in Warschau.
1991 wurde E. Wedel von der PepsiCo aufgekauft, 1999 übernahm der britische Genusswarenhersteller Cadbury Schweppes das Unternehmen, dann kaufte Kraft Foods, Schweppes und E. Wedel musste auf Grund von Auflagen durch die EU-​Kommission verkauft werden.
Seit Juni 2010 gehört die Schokoladenfabrik der koreanisch/​japanischen Lotte Group.

Chocolate chocolate chocolate! Anyone who knows me well, knows that I have a really bad chocolate addictionone day I will need help. But until then, I wish I could satisfy my cravings every day with one of the Pijalnia apple pie hot chocolates. I swear to you, it is one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had — it has real pieces of stewed apple at the bottom which mixes in very nicely.
I mean, that has to be because this is one of Poland’s oldest chocolate makers, but there are quite a few cafes spread across Poland now.
My friends had the chilli chocolate and milk hot chocolates respectively and also enjoyed them immensly, but I refuse to put the photos up when I dropped a coffee praline and managed to get chocolate all over my hands — very sophisticated.
You can sit in the back in the restaurant or just grab some choccies to take awaywith so much choice, you’re bound to return one day for moreI know I will be!

Wedel ist die traditionsreichste Schokolade Polens — inzwischen allerdings in Besitz der britischen Cadbury Gruppe.
Nichts desto trotz ist ein Besuch des Stammhauses in Warschau für Schokoladensüchtige ein Muss. In den heiligen Hallen weht dem Besucher noch der Geist der guten alten Zeit entgegen.
Ich trinke hier — bevorzugt bei deprimierendem Wetter — mit Vorliebe eine heiße Schokolade. Nicht dasss wir uns falsch verstehen, hier geht es nicht um einen heißen Kakao mit Sahne sondern um eine tatsächliche heiße Schokolade. Dieser Seelentröster hat eine Konsistenz, dass der Löffel drin stehen bleibt und man eher geneigt ist zu löffeln, denn zu trinken.
Außerdem kann man im Laden auch noch alle Schokoladenkreationen erwerben und wundervolle Schokoladenkuchen essen.
Wenn es draußen regnet oder man einen besonders grauen Tag erwischt hat, dann lohnt sich eine kleine Flucht zu Wedel, denn hier bekommt man gute Laune in Porzellantassen gereicht.
