If I would have written my review following my first visit, I would have given Why Thai 4 stars without hesitating. But since I managed to squeeze in a follow up visit in the mean time, I’m going to stick with three. Why? It’s not the food. No, quite the contrary — the food is delicious. I had red curry with beef during both visits and loved it(although I think I enjoyed my curry slightly less the second time around as there were far too many grean peas floating around and I’m far from being a fan). My boyfriend had their beef with bok choy and enjoyed it very much, especially the accompanying sauce. He also ordered their sticky rice with mango in coconut milk for dessert and found it to be delicious. So no, it’s definitely not the food, although I do find it a bit pricey especially when you compare them to what you’re actually paying for(meaning — very small portions). As I’m writing this, a portion of red curry with beef costs about 45PLN — rice or anything of the sort excluded. The service is okay, they are very accomodating and helpful. But. During my second visit we were kind of blindsided by our waitor and while he just took advantage of the situation and we failed to ask follow up questions, we ended up with a bill far higher than we had originally anticipated. A part of it is our fault, of course, but I think the waitor’s behavior was extremely disappointing. I’m pretty sure we won’t be coming back, but if you’re up for some overpriced Thai food in central Warsaw, this is the place to go! Just remember to book a table first.

Excellent Thai restaurant within walking distance of many of the Embassies and hotels in the neighborhood. Staff is extremely helpful and they provide menus in English as well as an array of other languages. Chicken Pad Thai is very good and the Chicken Satay is amazing.

If you haven´t noticed, I love Thai Food and I´m always happy when I get to eat it. If this happens to take place in a hip place with very friendly staff and excellent food quality I become even happier. Seriously though extra points for the super friendly waitress who even moved a second table to ours to give us more space(we were only two people), I hate when the table is completely crammed with food so that was a nice little touch. I had the beef with thai basil and rice on the side that was excellent and so was my Tom Yum soup I had before.

I went on Valentine’s day with my friends and of course it was crowded but I had a reservation. Staff is efficient and well decorated with good music. Very elegant place and the price goes along with it, so it’s not the most cheap place. The food is very good and huge variaty, but ask for starters, they’e really good, specially the Fried Calamare, in a very neat plate. Good list of wines too!

Best Thai food i have eaten outside of Thailand. The place is classy, the food is well presented and for what you get the prices are reasonable. I can recomend the Tom Yum soup, fried rice, chicken satay and spring rolls from experience but im sure you cant go wrong here with whatever you order.

Why not Thai ?!? Seriously, why haven’t I visited this place sooner. It’s a hidden gem, and the best Thai I had in a while. Located within 2 min walk from Three crosses square and down the block from Hilton hotel. During Sunday late lunch it was packed, we got seated instantly though but I would recommend making reservations on weekends. The service was warm, knowledgeable and fairly fast considering amount of people there. Coconut soup was absolutely delicious, so were shrimp rolls and pad thai. Can’t wait to come back and try more.
