Zapiecek c’est la chaîné nationale de pierogi, ces raviolis polonais fourrés à des ingrédients divers et variés.
Un peu comme des dumpling asiatiques en plus bourratif.
La décoration est typique, en bois et les serveuses sont en costume traditionnel. Un endroit fait pour les touristes
Il y a le choix entre ceux cuit vapeur ou ceux grillés à et servis dans une petite poêle. Il y a même une version sucrée en dessert.
J’ai testé la version Russian style fourrées avec des pommes de terres, du fromage et oignons. Pas mal. En toit cas ça cale bien donc à tester.

I love this place. I love pierogis! I know this is a chain and probably any self-​respecting Pole would be appalled that we ate at 3 different Zapiecek locations while staying in Warsaw, but I found each one to be filled with locals and tourists alike. (This particular one has a lovely huge patio and is in a great location on a main drag.) Their menu is super easy to read, comes in English, and they even have a pretty awesome kids menu! They have just basic beers but the mixed drink menu has some good vodka shots and their sangria is a winner. I tried several varieties (they have quite a few) of the boiled pierogi and they were all more than up to snuff. We also tried the potato pancake with some goulash-​ish stuff on it and that was pretty good and I fell in love with the cold soup (not the borscht) that is light purple with the chives and egg. If you are a fan of cold soups like gazpacho or vichyssoise and like beets, then you will love that soup. (Sorry I cannot recall the names but the oh-​so-​helpful menu has pictures.) Now I need to look into opening up my own Zapiecek franchise…

The service here was a bit slow, lots of waitresses just walking around doing nothing until they finally decided to bring us a menu. I would recommend going to a Zapiecek in the Old Town.

Si la idea es probar la comida tipica polaca el lugar es el indicado, si lo que buscan es atención cambiense de restaurant porque no van a recibir mucho mas de lo mínimo e indispensable.
Este lugar, que se encuentra en varias partes de la capital polaca, tiene dumplings, una especie de ravioles con una masa un poco distinta y varias opciones de relleno. Esta es la especialidad del local a pesar de que tienen otros platos típicos de este país.
El restaurant esta atendido por unas muchachas con un vestido que se supone es tipico de acá. Casi no hablan ingles y la onda que le ponen no es la mejor, todavía no entiendo porque pones mozas que no hablan bien ingles en un restaurante que vive del turismo, pero bueno…
Los precios son normales, Polonia es un poco más accesible que el resto de Europa, pero para mi es algo de una sola vez. Aguanten los ravioles con tuco!

Vayan y pidan la especialidad de la casa y del país: Pierogi. Son como unos ravioles con forma de empanadita con mil tipos de relleno. Lo interesante es que no es necesario decidirse por un solo tipo: podes pedir una porción donde te traigan uno de cada uno, lo que me pareció genial. Hay de queso, de repollo, panceta ahumada, carne, chanpignones, y demás cositas ricas. Puede venir con salsa agridulce o con manteca, pero lo típico de Polonia es pedirlo con sour cream que vendría a ser una especie de queso blanco.
También tomé una sopa que la verdad no sé bien qué traía pero venía acompañada x un huevo con salsa picante que MAMITA: era fuerte como el wasabi y nadie me avisó. Y también traía una salchicha rica rica.
El lugar en sí no es nada del otro mundo pero estaba decorado bastante tipicamente, y las mozas vestidas de manera tradicional con sus vestidos.
Aceptan tarjeta de crédito, así que si andan x Varsovia, no hay excusa.

When in Poland, one must try authentic pierogi! And no better to get the pierogi experience then here. Yes, on the outside it suggests a typical tourist trap, but customers range from tourists to locals and all seem to enjoy the abundance of selections in the menu.
The staff are pretty girls in traditional (?) attire and are very helpful. No need to worry about language barriers as they do understand English :)
I had the pierogi with meat and cabbage, and for dessert pierogi with strawberries. They were both absolutely amazing, minimum order for each place is 9 pieces and they are sized quite well so needless to say I was absolutely stuffed.
I’m definitely coming back for some more! :)

Chaîné de restaurant qui propose un très grand choix de plats typiquement polonais. L’accueil est assez chaleureux, les serveuses circulent en robes traditionnelles et la décoration rappelle l’intérieur d’une maison tout autant traditionnelle. Ça sent quand même le marketing à plein nez malheureusement.
Tables et chaises en bois, couverts et plats en céramique, chope de bières et menu bien rempli.
Testez la spécialité de la maison, les pierogis ! Il s’agit d’une sorte de petits beignets/​raviolis farci à la viande, aux légumes ou au fromage et cuit à la vapeur ou grillés à la poêle. Ils sont servi dans des mini poêles, avec des petits oignons nouveaux et c’est pas mal.
Sinon il y a les «kluski slaskie», gnocchis grillés ou à la vapeur, servi avec une généreuse sauce aux champignons.
Mangez ça avec une boisson chaude, un de leur mélanges aux fruits, très agréable quand il fait (je déconne pas) –12 dehors.

Kleine Kette die auf touristisch macht aber auch von vielen Polen besucht wird. Einheimische Küche, die man sehr gut in Erinnerung behält.
Ich war bisher bei allen meinen Aufenthalten in Warschau dort essen und habe es nie bereut.
Der Service ist gut und freundlich.
Es kann zu Wartezeiten kommen, da das Lokal nicht so groß ist und der Andrang nicht nach lässt.
Deftige nationale Kost!

Great place to have a typical polish lunch. For spend a long evening I would recommend Star Dom — see my commend there.
But don’t get me wrong — I liked that location pretty much. The staff was quite friendly and the have all kinds of these typical polish dumplings — cooked or fried — with all kinds of fillings and sauces. Delicious!

Typical and famous restaurant, visiting it is almost mandatory if you are in the capital. Very close to the famous Nowy Swiat Street.
Large variety of polish dumplings (pierogi) which you can ask fried or boiled. In the menu you can also find other typical meals as meat or soup.
Waitresses are dress up like old regional polish lady’s, so just eating there it’s a good show!

Restaurant typique très agréable. Très bonne cuisine polonaise. On s’est régalé pour un rapport qualité /​prix plus que raisonnable.

Our last eating stop before we boarded the train back to Berlin was this place. It’s a traditional Polish dumpling restaurant, and while there is a bit of kitsch in it (the waiters were all female and dressed in traditional (or is it really?) sexy (well, I guess) and skimpy clothing, bringing out beer and dumplings to people.
The nice thing about this place is that you can order mixed and matched dumplings. I for myself ordered 12 dumplings in 4 different flavors. There are various different sauces as well, but I opted to get the traditional gravy (which looked more like oil/​fat with bacon bits, maybe there was something that got lost in the translation).
Speaking of lost in translation, there was a little misunderstanding between us and the waiter. We ordered one tripe soup, but somehow, there were two servings that arrived. And at first, the waiter insisted that we ordered two, and not one. So the manager was brought over, and in the end, we successfully returned the second soup. The waiter was a little annoyed I guess, but I supposed someone told her to be nice, so she came later with a smile regardless. It left a little bit of a bitter taste in the metaphorical mouth, but otherwise, the food was still good.
Given the amount of people lining up to get dumplings here, they must be doing something good. There was an equal number of locals and tourists, and I wouldn’t mind coming back again, this time, though, I would make sure that the waiter understood my order.

I heard this was the place for the best pierogies. They were good, but not great. The blueberry and strawberry pierogies in sweet cream sauce were very good. The fresh-​squeezed lemonade was outstanding — like Grandma used to make. The service is slow and icy.

As someone that grew up in New Jersey, I consider myself a pierogi expert… except that this holds practically no weight compared to someone actually from Poland. Fair enough, but the restaurant seemed crowded enough with locals that I got a good feeling about the place.
The sour rye soup was exactly the kind of thing but it was unlike anything I’ve tried before so it’s hard to describe in any other word other than «dobsza». Imagine having rye bread made into soup and you’re 10% there. But what really wow-​ed me, to the point that I’d seriously consider franchising this place just to selfishly obtain one dish for myself, was the Blueberry pierogis in sweet cream served on a hot iron skillet… made my mouth blue so I looked like I was choking. In reality, I was like drunk on blueberry goodness like that kid from Willy Wonka. And unfortunately, my cute waitress didn’t give me mouth to mouth.

Frische hausgemachte Pierogen mit vielen verschiedenen Füllungen von deftig bis süß und das ganze zu sehr guten Preisen.
Wer also in Warschau ist und traditionell essen möchte, ist hier richtig.
Allerdings gibt es außer Pierogen fast nichts anderes auf der Karte.

Venez vous régaler de «pierogis», ces délicieux et typiques raviolis polonais dans ce cadre de maison de poupées polonaises.
Ici tout est fait maison et il y en a pour tous les goûts, du pierogi salé au pierogi sucré, des soupes locales (Zurek…) et d’autres plats typiques (Bigos…). Si vous né savez pas encore (et c’est normal) celui que vous préférez, prenez une assiette ‘assortie’ et on vous servira une portion de pierogis mélangés. Les meilleurs: ‘Ruskie’ (pomme de terre/​fromage blanc et ‘Kapusta z grzybami’ (chou/​champignons) mais aussi ‘z miesem’ (à la viande).
Si vous préférez manger sucré, n’hésitez pas, la liste est très longue et les serveuses adorables, aux robes fleuries sauront vous conseiller.
