If you looking for a good deals, this mall is the place to be.
It’s full of factory stores with the discount on everything. It’s a lady paradise.
I go often there with my friend, to do shopping and to eat to the food court too.
The journey takes 40 min by MTR from HK island !
Unfortunately on Saturday it’s always super full, with people with suitcase. But this is a part of the game, I guess

This place was ok. The deals as a previous Unilocaler indicated are not that much of a deal. If you’re a diehard shopper that know your price point for your good you will know what is good or not worth purchasing.
I pretty much left here empty handed with the exception of a pair of Nike workout studio sneakers.
This mall is conveniently located near a hotel, metro and 360 Big Buddha tourist attraction.

Truthfully, I’m not an outlet store guy. It seems that if you’re going to shop the outlets, you need to know what the stuff costs before you can evaluate whether the thing in your hand is a bargain or not. Mix in the currency exchange to Hong Kong dollars, and who knows what’s a bargain?
That all said, if you travel all the way to Asia and you suddenly have an urge to go to a Foot Locker factory outlet (or just about any other store you can find in suburban NY or San Francisco), seems like this may well be your promised land! It’s a sprawling mall with opulent décor, and I meandered around for quite a long time before finding the exit that would take me to the subway into the city. For me, this was the top feature of the place. It provides a fabulous corridor from the airport Novotel to the MRT where you can get into the city for about the same price as a cup of coffee. And even though the stores close around 9:00 pm, they leave the mall open (all night?) for people to cross back through, returning to the hotel in a darkened shopping center bedecked with maintenance workers a plenty; scouring, polishing, and repairing things in the middle of the night. A little creepy, but no more so than finding your way «home» on a dimly lit street in an unfamiliar city.
And I think there’s a food court, just in case the $ 25 Novotel breakfast is beyond your means. What more could you ask for?

Department store prices not outlet prices despite the sale or clearance tags. Has American and Asian brands. Novotel is onsite plus some food stores and coffee shops. Lots of people from China shopping at this location. You need to be very familiar with department store prices before you buy anything here as the items are not deeply discounted at CityGate. Accessible from the airport via cab.

It’s the largest outlet shopping mall the city — how could it not warrant a review? With more than 90 brands on a yearly discount, it’s hard to ignore this place. Forget the cinema and the spa — the discounted shops are what you’re here for.
I’ve been here a couple of times and not once did I not purchase anything. There’s always something for everyone. While the website says that it’s only approximately 10 minutes from the airport, I beg to differ. It’s not that far away but it isn’t that near either. Mainlanders form the majority of the crowd here but locals can also be seen strolling by.
The bad thing about Citygate is that because a lot of people know that they can grab huge discounts here, stocks fly fast and sometimes, they don’t have stock at all. It happens to most shops and it’s the reality of this mall. Every shopper will have a different list of places they want to go to because, let’s face it — the 90+ shops in this outlet mall can’t be traversed in a single day. Therefore, I suggest visiting the website or grabbing a brochure to plan the itinerary of your next visit. Also, wear comfortable shoes because there will be a LOT of walking to be done.
If you miraculously still have energy to squeeze in another activity, Ngong Ping 360 is nearby and the fishing village of Tai O is just a short bus ride away. If you plan to shop a lot, it’s nice to bring a good-​sized backpack to stow away your goods conveniently.

Hong Kong is well known as a shopping heaven-​fact. There are so many malls and so many stores around here you can spend ages just window shopping from Stanley to Shatin Indeed, choices here are abundant and it all depends on how deep your pocket goes. However, it does beg the question that whether Hong Kong is a location that could be considered a good place for outlets– we have no local «brands» (we do but you know what I mean) and the fact is we don’t make anything around here.
It does make me think, therefore, whether anyone will come to Hong Kong specifically for brand name items? Some do of course, if you are from Mainland China and that’s for reasons which we shall not go into here. However, if you are from anywhere else, I strongly believe that there are better places to go to buy brand name items.
As a mall itself I would say its «okay», there are indeed many different major fifth avenue brand names and they always seem to be on sale. There is a food court with a number of other restaurants on offer; which makes redeems the experience a little.
I might be biased now but seriously– if you were looking to buy brand name items I would not buy it here. Its not this mall’s fault, it does alright as a mall and credit where credits due. But really, in Hong Kong?

One of the biggest perks of living in Tung Chung is that the first outlet shopping mall in Hong Kong is right at my doorstep. There are over 80 international brands and stores, including Armani, Burberry, Club 21, Club Monaco Studio, Diane von Furstenberg, Vivienne Tam and a PEDDER WAREHOUSE!
Every time I’m in the Pedder Warehouse, I die and go to Shoe Heaven — there are loads and loads of designer shoes, with the much-​loved discount tags on the sole. After the obligatory «hrrrrng 70% off? Hrrrrng», I could spend a whole day in there. Although, I have crossed the line into Shoe Madness on a few noteworthy occasions (my knee-​high, fireman-​red, PVC Sergio Rossi boots have only seen the light of day once).
If you don’t bend over backwards for seasonal trends, then this is the perfect place to get that last-​season Summer dress from DvF or cashmere basics from Club Monaco. There’s also children’s wear, home-​ware, and a TASTE supermarket that takes up the whole basement floor.
If you’re tuckered out from shopping, you can find the expertly positioned Starbuck’s ‘pitstop’ bridging the two sides of the outlet, or a few eateries inside the mall (the wondrous food court!) and outside (Haagen Daaz, The Spaghetti House, Subway, and Il Bel Paese are on the main open-​air square next to the MTR exit).
There’s even a UA cinema!
A note for the sporty types — although you’ve got Adidas, Nike, and New Balance, I was a little disappointed about the few options on offer when I wanted a pair of trainers. Comparatively, the ESPRIT outlet store is absolutely mega-​huge.
Another problem — that applies to all the stores — is that on the weekend it can get WAY too crowded with shoppers, most often from the Mainland, or people staying at the Novotel which is linked to the mall. Sometimes, living in Tung Chung, I’ve found it best to do a food shop on the weekday so you don’t need to push your shopping bags through the mall-​manic crowds. But I suppose knocking a chick over for that one pair of Louboutins is all part of the fun, no? …
