Very enjoyable from bruschetta to cappuccino! We had 10+ adults in our group along with a couple of young children and we decided to eat family style, ordering multiple dishes and passing them around the table. All of the pasta dishes were rich and delicious. The pork shank was very tender and flavorful as well. Even the flatbread pizza was yummy. We were too full to make it to dessert, but the cappuccino was just right. I recommend this place to locals and visitors alike.

I went here the other day after a long, insect-infested hike, which is to say I was extremely hungry and agitated. All I wanted was to sit down in a comfortable environment where I wouldn’t be accosted by mosquitos or spiders the size of my face. I’m not kidding, they are that big. We entered Como Lake, my girlfriend and I, and where instantly greeted warmly by the staff. The greeting set the tone for the rest of the experience. Had it gone the other way the poor waitress would have had to deal with two very sourly visitors. The lunch sets were numerous and many appealing. I was recommended by a friend some time ago to try the fish and chips, which I did, while my other half ordered a baked sole with tomato and mozzarella sauce. Como Lake’s menu is decorated with the Italian flag but the food I was seeing here was more of a fusion. Anyway, the food arrived and we dug in. I don’t like to use the word good but I don’t know how else to describe it. Average would be too harsh and great too much. It was decent, for the price it was fantastic. $ 58 for a nicely sized portion of fish and chips with a soup and an ice-tea! For a guy living a two minute walk away I was over the moon. As for the place itself, we chose to sit inside because we wanted the much sought after god, Air-Con. However there is a cute outdoor, terrace type seating area behind the restaurant providing a picturesque view of the sea and mountains — great for an afternoon snack or dinner I’d assume. The only problem I have with Como Lake is that when a couple of cuisines are mixed into one menu it’s always hard to master a single one. The positive side is that when I get sick of fish and chips I can always order a pasta, or a seafood dish. I’ll be sure to visit again, only this time I’ll try out the outside seating.
