Mo Bar is located in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the Landmark Building in Central Hong Kong. The bar décor is modern retro which we found a little cold and uninviting, however the staff are warm, friendly and very professional; the patrons are well dressed and hip, the drinks delicious and the food excellent. We stopped into the Mo Bar during a rainy dark afternoon and had Paloma’s with the Chef’s Bento Box of assorted Dim Sum. Despite the fact that the Bento Box is the only Chinese food on the menu, it was the best Dim Sum we have had in Hong Kong. All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious and we have no doubt it is. This is a fun place to stop in and have lunch. Highly Recommended.

Mo Bar, you are one cool cat, from your swanky mirrored bar(hanging from the ceiling, no less), to your cozy little booths, I’m glad we made a cocktail here a priority. THEGOOD. + High quality craft cocktails + Delicious bar snacks(olives & seasoned almonds, anyone?) + Friendly, attentive waiters + Window-view to the cars valet-parked for the rich and the famous(or just very, very rich) THE BAD-ish. ~ Pricey(although hotel bars in Hong Kong have given me the impression this is the norm) ~ Limitations on how long you can stay at your table For anyone who was lost(like myself), it’s located on the ground floor of the Mandarin Oriental(or if you enter through the nearby shopping plaza, just head all the way down).

Good place to stop and get a drink in central, comfortable seats in the both area, and a great looking bar. Modern decorations and attentive staff, tasty drinks. Highly suggest the MOtox drink to cool off!

Zipped around Central all morning due to people being late. Finally decided to have them meet me at Mo’s just before noon.(Not so crowded anymore so it is quite convenient.). They always make a good cocktail. Also had a new menu which returned several old favorites. The Hainan chicken and Bolognese pasta were very good. Excellent taste, very convenient.(For a while the menu was all trendy veggie or hamburger hot dog, really turned me off.) This is a nice bright and airy bar lounge with extra high ceilings, very cheerful and friendly place. Can be quite busy and full.

Nice weather on one Friday in February, and we were drinking a pot of English Breakfast tea, tasting the beautiful afternoon tea which was the best moment on Friday afternoon. Mo Bar, I have been there for breakfasts many times, this time, I was been there for High-tea with my consultant. The perfect environment and perfect service in Mo Bar; we sit in the 2/f is more private, with lower sofa, good for a relaxing afternoon talk. I forgot photo shot the High-Tea stand but you can still see it on the picture in right hand side which was very pleasant and stylish design. I particularly like the stand which make the high tea presentation more magnificent and eye-catching. Scone is not my favorite but which is the«can-no-skip» item for an English Afternoon Tea. Enjoyable.

The cocktails were so good I had to come back a second time. Both times were for late afternoon drinks after wandering around Central. Impeccable service as one would expect coupled with tasty bites and perfectly crafted cocktails, what more could you want? I had the Hong Kong mule both times I was there and the tuna sandwich with olive and quail egg. The sandwich may sound very pedestrian but it was such an unexpected treat! My husband had the MO Tox(loved it!) and a special smoky drink that was not available the second time we came. Sigh. I wish I was there right now.

Cute spot. Fancy. Ridiculously amazing cocktails. Can’t stop at just one… Tasty appetizers presented in a gorgeous manner. Celeb singers are known to show up by surprise… Absolutely loved it here. The waiters are nice & extremely accommodating. Oh, a few travels magazines to read while I sip on my cocktail & enjoy my meal? Absolutely. Ammunition for my next trip :) Just my style.

I was on a hainan chicken rice hunt for the past month or so. So far I have tried the grand Hyatts. Today I’ve decided to try mo bar at the landmark mandarin oriental hotel. Heard that they have a better version of it so I decided to try and see. It’s chilli sauce was definitely spicier. In terms of portion I felt like I was getting a snack and not a full on meal. The grand Hyatts version came with a good size half of a chicken boneless. I felt at mo bar it was only a few pieces. The dipping sauce was not very authentic. The soup in my opinion was better than grand Hyatts. The hainan chicken rice lacked vegetables!!’ Which I have to say grand Hyatt won on this one I am a very balanced meal type of person. However in Singapore the hainan chicken rice do not come with vegetables so on an authenticity level I guess it’s reasonable. Overall grandhyatt hainan chicken rice wins over Mo Bar hainan chicken rice. Everyone was enjoying a tea time buffet there when I went maybe that’s the thing to try next time!
