Muji

This is a large MUJI that carries products other stores don’t have. I visited bc I’m a Muji fan and I wanted to try the café. I had lunch there. The ordering process was a bit weird — you fetch a number, then wait for it to be called. Then you get a table number and are led to a free table, where you put your number down and then go to order. As I was ordering a set meal, I chose one hot appetizer and two cold appetizer, which came with a rice and a drink. The line makes you go straight to the appetizer counter, so I have no idea what you’d do if you only wanted a drink and a dessert — go straight to the front of the line?
I was not impressed with the food — it was a weird mix of westernized Japanese food or Japanese-​style western food. On that day, I had a warmed eggplant mash, a cold chicken celery salad, and a cucumber salad. It was not tasty, and not a lot of each portion. I forget how much it cost, but it was about 2−3x the amount of say, a bowl of wonton noodles from any wonton place in the Causeway Bay area (which is not exactly a cheap area to eat). Having tried it once, I would not order a meal set there again, but I did like the looks of the desserts.

This is the largest MUJI flagship store in Hong Kong. I’m already a big fan of MUJI and this store has the broadest assortment of MUJI articles. This store is inside the Lee Theatre shopping centre in the bustling centre of Causeway Bay.
This MUJI store is big and the fun part is: it also has a MUJI café. There are several MUJI stores in Hong Kong, but I like this one the best, also because there’s a MUJI café here.
