Sunning Restaurant

I went with relatives and they described it as Shanghainese style European. There were a ton of prix fixe options. I got a pasta with red sauce, a clear soup, and a lemon dessert. Multiple types of bread are offered. Affordable, good portions.

Oldie but goodie!
This is the original Western Style French Restaurant from the 60s. They have moved from their older location to this location for a few years now.
The menu has not changed since I have been going when I was a little girl.
They offer Steak Sets, Lamb Sets or Lobster Sets, with Escagots, etc.
They bake their own Brioche, Baguette daily, my fave is their version of Melba toast.
One of the their soups is called 金必多湯 which is a specialty. The soup is actually a cream based soup with a Vegetarian ‘Sharkfin’.
They also offer soups with Choux Pastry on top
Dessert is Baked Alaska or just plain Soufflé.
The price per set is range from HK$ 180 — $ 300, which is expensive but it is an experience you are paying for if you are nostalgic.
The waiters still wear their white coats and black tie.
