* Do be prepared for difficult-​to-​find routing. (Easiest is through the undergroud parking garage, stairs adjacent to the Excelsior Hotel parking attendant)
* Don’t get there too early. There’s absolutely nothing else to do. 11:55am is fine.
* If it’s sunny & hot, watch from the west side — There are some tree shades there.
* The cannon boom is satisfyingly loud. And a fine tradition to be preserved.
* Stick around for a few minutes afterwards, as they open the area for inspection.
