Even better, got to enjoy breakfast treats, then on following day items from«secret» menu. Thank you so much for being here in HK!

Delicious burgers! However, there Wellington location is not good — only go to the one in Wan Chai.

Food: Yummy burgers! Definitely a bit messy but very good! Service: Good. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you.

Seriously the best burger I’ve had in Hong Kong — rivals the best burgers I’ve had State-side. Burgers are juicy with lots of flavor, fries are really tasty. A little pricey, but worth the splurge for when you’re really craving a burger.

Butchers Club, Butchers Club, Butchers Club. Jesus. Ok, I’m here. I’m trying it. The menu is a one-page, three item sheet that lists a burger, duck fat fries and an ice cream float. My source said go off the menu and order the Double Happiness, an obscene creation with two patties, a waterfall of cheese, toppings and a toasted bun. Clear!!! I’m not in love with wedge fries, I prefer skinny fries, but they were crispy and tasty. Ok I get it. This place is good! I recommend.

The tastiest burger ever put into my mouth! The cheese was really salty which i like! The patties are made completely from scratch right before your eyes, so fresh!!! The ambiance was very urban, they had music on and you eat on these bar tables. It’s perfect if you are hungry for fabulous burgers but don’t want to sit in a formal restaurant.

They have kimchi fries topped with mayo. And a Wu tang burger. And bourbon cheaper than SF/LA/NYC. O, they’ll do your burger halal. I don’t know htf this is possible Australian beef, Canuk chef, Brit partners serving PBR in cans. What a time we live in. Yes, they’ll franchise to Dubai if you’d like.

This is one of my favorite burger joints in Hong Kong. Although they have a secret menu, I always just order the original. The patty is super juicy and fully marinated! The bun is perfectly toasted and the fixings are fresh. The only down side is that it is a rather small burger, so for the ladies, it may be fine, but for the gents, you still might be hungry after the burger! I believe their burger is $ 100 and their duck fat fries are extra for $ 20. I am not a huge fan of their fries. I just want my normal skinny fries. I come just for the burger. It’s very yummy!

I love love love Butchers Club Burger! It’s like my favorite burger place in HK! I would give them 5 stars every time! However, today I decided to try something else. I had«Captain Ahab» Panko-breaded barramundi fillet with homemade tartar sauce and spicy coleslaw. While the fish fillet was perfectly cooked(juicy, succulent and firm flesh), I have to say, I am not a big fan of its taste though(not sure if Barramundi is supposed to taste like that or it could have been the seasoning). It’s too savory. I had a couple of bites before I decided to pull the fish fillet out of my burger. I just don’t think I could handle it. I will definitely go back to Butchers Club Burger for their beef BURGERS!!!

So far, the Butcher’s Club remains in the lead for my favorite burger in Hong Kong. You have to appreciate a place that does one thing and does it well. The burgers are made from freshly ground meat to order, so they take a bit more time than your average burger shop, but it’s worth the extra few minutes. The buns are large and fluffy — perfect to hold all the good burger juice and melted cheese. The bacon is usually very crispy(a pet peeve of mine is to have soggy bacon on burgers) and adds to the nice overall flavor and texture of the burger. The duck fat fries are generally excellent, although at times they have come a bit undercooked like they were yanked out of the fryer a bit too soon in order to get the order out. The place definitely has a bit of a hipster vibe for atmosphere, especially later on weekend nights. That can make for a strange but entertaining mix and for some good people-watching as you scarf down your burger and beer. PBR I believe is the only beer option, but they do have a good whiskey selection, which is quite a nice compliment to a greasy(in a good way) burger. It can get quite crowded here, but its location allows the crowd overflow to spill out on to the street and into the side alley, so while you may not get a place to sit there’s always a place to hang out and eat your food. Definitely a good spot if you’re craving a burger for lunch, and it also excels as a place for post-bar late night food. It’s pricey, no doubt, but you probably shouldn’t be eating a burger like this every day anyway, so it’s within the range of reasonable as the occasional treat when you’re craving one.

This is everything I want a burger place to be — open air, small, fast, cheap and easy. Well, not cheap really, but I thought pricing was fair considering the quality of the beef was outstanding. Not the best burger I’ve ever had, but a very very good one and I really liked the atmosphere and experience here. When we arrived we were shown the well documented secret menu on an iPad, which I found odd because … like what’s the point of a secret menu if you are going to show it to everyone before they order? Anyway — you can’t go wrong with a couple of cold PBRs(only beer they have) and a shot of bourbon(from a surprisingly well curated and decently priced list!) to go along with your burger and duck fat fries … you are going to order the duck fat fries, right?!

In a word — an average burger which is very overpriced. Don’t miss out the secret burger if you’re swinging by already. The longer version(for the brave) — after a few lousy meals and my endless crave for burgers I arrived here with high expectations. This place seem to know what they are doing. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, Danny Brown music in the background which fitted perfectly for the atmosphere I was expecting. So I’ve been told there is a secret menu– therefore I jumped right ahead and ordered myself the Wu Tang burger. It didn’t take long until we got our meal, the choice if drinks is rather lousy, so I had to settle for a sprite. The Wu Tang burger has a lot of goodies in it, but the flavors are rather dull, and I’ve had much better. My friend was also not very impressed by the fish burger he ordered(captain ahab if remember correctly) We have also shared a promotional bacon sandwich that was pretty good, but in this case also– I expected something else. It was a different kind of bacon and it was too mushy for me. But I guess it’s a matter of personal taste While we sat there, we were trying to figure out if what we paid was right and got to a conclusion that each of us just paid over 20 euros for this meal — Not. Worth. It. The portion is filling but small and you’ll have to pay extra for the fries, so if you’re willing to spend all that I’m sure you can find something better. Overall, I had to take off one star for the price and one star for the flavors and value for money. For that price id expect something mind blowing.

Stopped in here before heading to Happy Valley races. This place is certainly not cheap considering its essentially a small step above a fast-food joint., but in desperation for some real beef we had to see if it was worth the price. Checked out the secret menu(is this in-N-out?) located on their website. I ordered the double happiness(2 times patty /cheese all between two grilled cheese sammiches). It was double the fun, double the calories, and the essentially double the price at a whooping $ 180. It is highly questionable if the burger was worth the price tag, however it did taste damn good!!! Very High-quality beef going on here… plenty of juiciness and flavor, any burger you select you can’t go wrong! The duck fat fries are not something you share, get your own and devour the shit out of them because they are some of best fries you’ll have in HK. The seating is not convenient,. Order for your friend while he/she finds you a seat, grab a beer and enjoy the blasting pop music.

I stand by my initial review overall but it is worth adding that after trying the Hogtown burger yesterday, I came away much more satisfied. Beef, generous slice of cheese, bacon, pulled pork and fried shallots make for a most excellent burger. Far, far better than the Wutang burger I had previously. However, still not enough to push it to 5 stars due to the cost — $ 160 for just the burger.

Since the office in Central, I was excited to go to find a burger place nearby, especially this is the original one in Wan Chai. Only 1 burger on the menu and the secret menu should check by website as I’m lazy to do so, anyway, I ordered the classic burger they have with a nice cold root beer. The burger looked good but it was very small portion compared he other I eaten. I believe the guy didn’t full enough for a small burger worth $ 100. According the description on the menu, their patties are made of dry-aged black Angus Beef. However, I didn’t feel any special about it, not mentioned it was juicy or not. When I paid $ 100 for a burger, I expected the putties and the combination of the burger a bit different with Burger King! Sorry a bit of mean! Unfortunately, I didn’t see any good on their burger and the service. Would lik return? Probably not, it’s not the 1st place they would pop to my mind if I want burger, oh one thing, music is good in here, pop music!

So, I guess the reviews from other review forums for this place were hyped cause I was not impressed. Ok… so maybe that sounded mean. Sorry. So, We ordered the Classic basic burger(HKD100). They had 4 other burgers on their«secret» menu.(to access the secret menu you need a smart phone to scan the code) but I reasoned that if the classic burger is good, then the rest has to be good. Well… to my dismay, the classic burger was lacking of a unique taste. Definitely, you won’t be hungry after you finish the burger, but you won’t be wanting more. I did like their really plump, fat fries.(HKD25). There are no reservations for this spot. It’s more of a fast food burger joint. So, first come first served with the seating. Also, they didn’t let me sit while I was waiting for my company, so that wasn’t nice either. Maybe my expectations/standards for burgers are high. Anyway, That’s all I have to say about this… but I wouldn’t discourage you from trying this place anyway. Go ahead… eat to your hearts content.

For a decent burger in HK — this is one of the few places I would recommend someone(especially someone familiar to American sized burgers) to grab a quick and«gourmet» burger. It’s not the best burger I have ever had in my life but it is a solid spot that will deliver a juicy and nostalgic burger. One twist that I like much more than the others is their«Wu tang» burger which has kimchi, siracha mayo, and battered sweet potato disc all on top of the hearty beef patty and melted cheese. The regular cheese burger is good but the Wu tang is better. The pulled pork burger is too saucy, seemingly dry and meaty for me. The double happiness is literally too cheese burgers stacked on top each other and way too much for one — but maybe a good deal for two people want to «split» a cheese burger. Duck fat fries are good but not a must. Sometimes they are not consistently fried — some more golden than other batches. Stick to the Wu tang(120HKD) for a quick, savory and satisfying bite. No reservations and secret menu found online. Also secret menu avail only for dine in. Regular burgers for take out.

I came to Butcher’s Club Burgers as part of a community Unilocal event and admittedly had no preconceived expectations as I didn’t exactly know what I was walking into. However, expectations or not, it was a great find in the Central/Mid-Levels area of Hong Kong island. I ordered the burger and fries with a PBR.(Can’t get more American than that can you!?) The burger was good — cheese, pickles and bacon with a pretty hefty bun. The fries were scrumptious — fried in duck grease you can’t get much more flavorful than that when you are talking potatoes. Oh, and the PBR was a refreshing touch too — it’s been awhile. I think my favorite part was definitely the kids table at the back with a movie playing(Monsters, Inc. because this place is on that level of cool!) complete with crayons, coloring book and kiddie stools. While I’m not a child, I can attest to the fact that the kids table is the best seat in the house. It’s crowded toward the front but this area(while low ceiling) is quiet, relaxed and fun. ProTip: check out Butcher Burgers online and you can find out more about their secret menu!(Also available by QPR code in the establishment).

In the words of Jules Winnfield, «MMM mmm, that IS a tasty burger!» I had heard this place gets packed, so being the cool person I am(read: loser who plans her day around food) I made sure to go about 4 p.m. and walked right in and ordered! Burger, fries, done. Really tasty burger. You can definitely taste the quality. Thick patty with a generous amount of high-quality bacon and cheese and whatever kinda sauce they use. Seems lame to comment on the bun but I totally appreciate that they toast it! One of my burger pet peeves is when it’s just a lame ass plain bun that gets soggy in 4.3 seconds. This one is toasted and maybe a bit buttered too? Really good, and I’m pretty anti-bread under normal circumstances. So sorry, so American, so from LA… we don’t do carbs :-P But this bun — a-okay. Duck fat fries were nothing special to me, but I’m a fan of skinnier fries. These are fat like steak fries. Good if you like that potatoey taste. Not bad, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get them. I didn’t taste anything duck fat-related either. The music is loud as SHIT in there, and it’s explicit hip hop and rap. Might not be everyone’s scene. Like it’s reeeeeeally loud. With lots of N words lol. Kind of weird they’d play that, to be honest as it’s pretty offensive stuff, but to each their own… Great burger in a casual setting… with N words!

Dry aged beef burgers that you queue for, «This is just like Mary’s» I said out loud. Then I wondered… Maybe Mary’s(Newtown, Sydney Australia) got their idea from here?.. Maybe? The Kitchen staff are Tattooed, cool guys, They have. like. just one burger on the menu and they sell Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer tinnies, aka that which is hipsterness incarnate. Nah then I thought, maybe not… They have apparently been open just a few months at this location. My German Ex-Pat living in Hong Kong friend informed us of the«Secret Menu» which is only to be discovered online. I decided to have one of that, but when we said we’ll have the Pork burger, the Manager stopped us more dead in our tracks, than the soup Nazi from Seinfeld. -«You cant just say ‘the Pork one’» he boomed. «You need to say it’s name». Being a Sydney sider who is fairly familiar with this hipster type of eatery, I felt like maybe it was a newer thing for the HK scene, and I promptly declared that I cared not for that form of marketing and, if it is that hard, to just give me the damn beef burger. This seemed to change the guy’s gruff first impression, and by the end he was giving us shots and blowing me a kiss as I left. Some locals were a bit miffed that they had to queue first and find a seat second. One woman was loudly exclaiming that it was ridiculous. SO. professional tips. –You’ll need to queue. Then find a seat, if you can. –They sell only one type of beer as I before mentioned. –They only sell one type of Burger unless you know the online only special but make sure you actually name it. eg: Double happiness was literally double everything including two buns on each end. –Duck Fat chips are f*ing to die for. I truly think this is what separates them from all the other hipster type burger joints I’ve ever been to. Duck fat, you guys! –The Beef Burger was sensational. Medium rare with all the delicious stuff you need. — The Beef Burger is $ 100HKD(around $ 15AUD) Pretty cool.
