Cute place. Really like it, I really want to rate it higher but the music is WAAAYWAAAAAAAAY too loud so you can’t actually have a conversation. So loud that I needed to knock 2 stars off! YESTHATLOUD! Will edit when I can sit in here and have a conversation without losing my hearing.

Tipping Point — So, I am usually a big fan of micro breweries(MB) and dive bar type spots but I think this one missed the mark a little. Take this with a grain of salt thought because I am American and, in my opinion, we know how to do MBs right. Having said that, there are just so many other really cool places to grab a drink in LKF. I was hoping, by making this stop, that I would get a little taste of home since I was HK for a few weeks but… It was all off. They really didn’t have an extensive selection of local options(like 3) and the place was pretty much grimy. Just dirty. I can easily put up with dirty if the beer is worth it but it just wasn’t in this case. I wish I could review some of the food but I didn’t stick around for beer #2. My suggestion, walk out the front. look left, look right. There are 100 other really cool options. Try one. –Ian M.

I actually like this little place. The music isn’t too loud so you can actually have a conversation with your peoples. The selection of beers seem to be limited though. I haven’t tried the food but it seems to be on the pricy side. Of course, you’d expect higher prices because of it’s location. They do have enough TV screens to keep up with whatever game the have chosen to show. Now on to a funny story: We settled the bill and the waitress came back with our change. We meant to split the change between us. So, we collected our share of the change, and put the rest back on the small plate. In a blink of an eye, the waitress comes by and swoops the rest of the change and dumps it into her TIP jar. LOL. It was rude and presumptuous of her to do this but we found it FUNNY at the same time. Anyway, enjoy your beer and keep an eye on your change. Cheers!

I was excited when I learned that there was a brewpub opening in Central, so I was quick to go try. After checking online(before Unilocal) for the hours, I arrived at the place to find it closed. No information was posted on the entrance(typical for Hong Kong), and I eventually found that the hours are listed very differently on their different internet sites. Diligent, I returned later to give them a try and I ordered their home brewed Pale Ale. I must say, I was disappointed at what I got. Still hopeful, I have since tried their other drinks, and again, I did not enjoy the quality of the beer. While they are marketing themselves as a brewpub, they do not offer a tasting flight on their menu so people can try their beers. The staff is unattentive(by Hong Kong standards), and the bar food is pricey. While the location is great(and expensive, which drives the prices), I hope the brewpub experience(and brew) improves.
