Hot Pot is one of my favourite Cantonese food. Came here with a couple of friends at night. The place is packed. The price is very economical, it is HK$ 118 per person after 8:30 pm and is «East As Much As You Like». For those who are not familiar with how it works here. You order what type of soup base you like, there are some that are included in the price, and then there are some you have to pay extra. I ordered a Chicken and wine stock — for an extra HK$ 28(less than US$ 4) you get a whole chicken. The way hot pot works is like Swiss fondue. You dip the raw meat into the boiling soup, once it is cooked, you dip it into the dipping sauce. The dipping sauce are generally help yourself as well. Here there is raw garlic, roasted garlic, soy sauce, and Sacha Sauce plus Scallions. There are plenty of food, but none of them seems very fresh, apart from the chicken. The price also include free driniks(juice, herbal tea, soft drinks and beer). I guess if you have a good appetite, and want to save money. It is ok. I found that nothing seems to be lay out properly, you have stacks of vegetables like in the market. When I requested to have more soup added to the hot pot, it was hot water instead of soap. There was also no napkins for customers??? I guess different strokes for different folks. For me it is only ok.
