Having had a number of work meetings in Aberdeen over the last year, it’s always been a treat I look forward to after, to pop into Peckhams before boarding my train home for a take-away late lunch. The Scottish owned shop/café’s location couldn’t be better, in the Union Mall, attached to the train station. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The place is clean and well presented. Ceiling high shelved displays and cute wicker baskets for carrying your goods. The baked potatoes are the best — large and well cooked. Two generous fillings and a salad is around £3, bit of a bargain! They have a great deli counter of fresh well made food and an amazing selection of cakes that change daily. The brandy cherry cheesecake is totally yum! The shop supplies high end goods and a vast range of alcoholic spirit and wines. There is an ‘external’ area within the Mall for sit-in customers with fake box hedges round the perimeter. If you enjoy the finer things in life, you’ll be at home here. Indulge!

Dropped by for lunch and received excellent service… Also, enjoyed a ploughman’s lunch — which had a generous serving of cheese, bread and ham. The ham was particularly good; could have skipped the pickled onions… speaking of pickle — enjoyed tasting some«pickle» — the UK version.
