What happened? M & S use to be the place to go. They have lost their fashion vision. They have not grown with their customs and that’s why they are losing sales. The quality is still up there with other high class stores, but what runways are your buyers looking at?

Yeah, a nice store. Much better since they renovated it a couple of years ago. It’s a spacious place on several floors with good selections of clothes and also a food section on the bottom floor. Nice and spacious, helpful staff, and often some really impressive deals — in the recent Xmas sales I got a man’s jacket reduced from £80 to a fiver. Not bad!

The Marks and Spencers at the Festival Place is a medium sized branch. It has the Per Una line as well as a housewares section, Mens clothing section, a small children’s section, a café, grocery store, and women’s clothing section. Their customer service is fantastic, we ordered food there and when there was a mistake they more than made up for it with discounts and still making sure the correct order got to us on time.
It is quite a busy store, especially on the weekend and around Christmas. If you shop near Christmas time make sure you make use of their 3 for 2 deals!

Marks and Spencer have really tried hard to get away from the twin set and pearls look of yesteryear and now have a good fashionable range with their per una range.
The store is very clean and tidy and easy to find your way round. There is a children’s section and of course the highly popular food section. Unfortunately the food section in the Basingstoke store is not as well stocked as the store in Reading.

Al large store which occupies 3 floors offering wide selection of fashions, homeware and food. The Per Una section is a bit lost in the store although it is the front section. I think it could do with more displays of items put together as these seem to be lacking. The food section is as good as ever but on the top floor the cafeteria section is very poor offering a few sandwiches and not much else. Come on M&S you should do better!

This is a large modern store on 3 floors. The lower ground is exclusively food and great when they do meals for £10! The ground floor does womens clothing including a large per una section. They have a great underwear department and also maternity underwear! First floor is mens and childrens wear. They do some lovely kids dress up costumes, great for general dress up or just for special occassions. Menswear has some fab cashmere jumpers. there is also a café on the first floor, which overlooks the main shopping square, and is a great place to sit and watch the world go by with a slice of the coffee cake!
