Being a frequent early morning flyer, this place is an absolute life saver in the City Airport. As you’d expect as it’s in the Airport Lavazza is on the expensive a side with a regular coffee setting you back over £2.50! With not much choice in the airport you’ll have to bite the bullet if you want a caffeine hit. If you’re peckish they do pastries and sandwiches too. There’s also a nice seating area. The seats near the window have sockets available if your electrical accessories need some juice before you take flight.

Anytime I am flying form Belfast City Airport I always choose Lavazza as my snack/coffee stop. When you get through security and go up the escalators to the departure lounge you are immediately presented with various drinks and dining options. You’ve got the Bar, Obrien’s as well as a Boots, for where you can pick up a drink and a snack, but I always head straight for Lavazza. There’s a few reasons for this — firstly they have a handy perch with 3 power sockets to charge your phone or laptop. This perch also presents a great view of the runway. Secondly the queues are always much shorter at Lavazza in comparison to those at Obrien’s or the bar. I suppose this is because people tend to forget about Lavazza. As well as the shorter queue and power station the coffee is good too. A flat white will set you back £2.45. They have various pastries on sale as well as sandwiches, soft drinks and crisps. There’s ample seating and you can easily view a flight information screens from the seated area.
