I have ate here on a few occasions and both times have had a lovely meal, although it is a quite small place and they have crammed a lot of furniture into it that for large groups it is a bit of a tight squeeze. It’s owned by the same people as Made in Belfast and you can tell as it has the quirky feel were nothing matches. The crystal cut glasses are a nice touch. I have had the flat iron steak and it was truly scrumptious — the sides are also very reasonable value at only £1.50 each(recently increased from £1 each, they must have realised they were under selling them but still a bargain) if you are with a large group of people I would give this place a miss unless you are very friendly with them and everyone else in the place! But for 2 – 3 people it’s ideal and would be a nice intimate place for the date with that special someone

The name of this place is a wee bit deceiving, the only chicks you’ll find here are those that are cooked. We visited for a late lunch on Thursday and the place was completely empty. This suited us as we were after a quick lunch. I’m currently trying to start a wee health kick so I decided against burgers or steaks. I ended up going for a crab pot. It came out beautifully presented(see picture) with a lovely cucumber and lemon garnish and a side of local wheaten bread. I also went for a filter coffee that was delivered within minutes of ordering. I really enjoyed my visit, although I’d love to go back and sample the service and atmosphere on a busier evening. The décor has been put together really well, the long mirror gives a spacious feel to a small intimate restaurant. Definitely would recommend a visit, the menu is large so you’ll find something you like. This is more of a 3.5 than a 4 but I’m generous!

Clothes at this place are optional. We decided to eat here on a whim as previously this place was known as Le Coop and we hadn’t realised it had changed name. First things first — this restaurant is part of the Made in Belfast group of restaurants to the décor etc is quirky where very little matches. The restaurant is brighter than i remember and the gross chip board seems to have been threw into a chipper. This was a relief. The waitress was really friendly and full of great chat. From the menu I ordered the Mousetrap burger. This meal came with onion rings and skinny fries on the side as standard. This was a winner for me, as the restaurant universe of late has been presenting sides as an optional offering rather than an inclusive wonder. So bravo to strip joint for throwing in 2 sides. The ambiance is relaxed and the service was great. I would recommend giving this place a visit. Men bring your wives, there is something for everyone

Disappointing first visit. Ordered a burger, got a lump of coal in a bap. When highlighted it was told it was charcoal grilled. The Burger was totally cremated and a simple apology would have been better than defend their cooking. Don’t think I’ll ever be back.
