This Wilkinson is deceptively huge.
When you walk in, you’re greeted with escalators which take you up into basically a DIY enthusiast/houseproud’s dream.
Furniture, paint, car supplies, storage solutions, bathrooms, kitchens, pillows, knicknacks and everything else you could ever wish for. Even some art supplies. It’s almost scary how prepared for every eventuality this store is.
Once you’ve had your fill upstairs and decide to head back down, you discover food, toiletries, stationary, wrapping and even seasonal stuff like trick or treat buckets and tree-​shaped packs of baubles for a fiver.
Everything here is CHEAP. SO cheap. Cheap enough that it’s next to two pound shops and still comes in cheaper thanks to its range of stuff for under a £1. A lot of the DIY stuff is cheaper than even Amazon, let alone B&Q and they’ve basically got everything you could need. I mean, a mastic gun for £3? Be still my beating heart. And a bag of assorted screws?! I swear I never got this excited about screws before.
Service is always with a smile, staff are chatty and ask you how your day is which is nice after a long day.
Basically? If you’re tired of trawling up and down the high street or supermarkets for those random things that don’t fit in a category, like bins for the bedroom, toothpicks, bubble wrap, bathroom storage, etc etc, Wilkinson is your friend. It’s my best friend right now. Love you, Wilko’s.

This store is spread over two levels, top level sells accessories for the home (bathroom, kitchen, living room etc), stationary, paints, nuts, bolts, locks towels, etc. Ground floors sells toiletry items, soaps, washing powder etc including a small (very small) selection of food items. the price of some items is of very good value, staff are helpful, the place is clean and well lit, parking is plentiful and location is very good bearing in mind The Broadway is near by (less than 1 minute! away).
