I used to work around the corner from here and always wondered why it was aways empty.
The reason its empty is because this store achieves nothing and sells nothing no one would want to buy. A stock list looking like the unwanted items from a phone in sale.
The staff were as interesting as the window display, you’d get better customer support at a graveyard.
Body lotions, combs, hair products and underwear. Really exciting stuff.
Best part is the price, really high. All this stuff can be brought online for much cheaper without the zombie customer service.

Now, I feel compelled to write about this shop as every time I see it, it just… puzzles me. I am aware that this is a huge chain of shops but I had never come across one until the New Street branch opened. Knowing that this is a franchise, I actually feel sorry for the store owner. I have never seen a customer in here and you might begin to understand why when I describe some of the products to you.
eCosway comes across as a shop for women. The creepily sanitary window display reminds me of something that might be part of a set on QVC. Displaying items such as bland, mushroom hued bras and knickers, cooking appliances and wrinkle cream; this shop strikes me as somewhat sexist.
On entering I was bombarded by walls of various moisturisers and hair products from brands I’d never heard of. Hair colour by ‘Hair Tec’, face and body creams by ‘bio glo’; it’s like being trapped inside a Betterware catalogue!
I saw some attractive, purple bottled lotions and nearly picked one up but was quickly deterred by this «Indulge your body with delicately fragranced personal care» — you what?! I decided to move quickly on in case it was some kind of fanny cream.
Towards the rear of the shop you can find such coveted items as a Spin Dry Mop and more cooking appliances. If you’re feeling a bit pigeonholed then don’t worry, they have a shelf specially dedicated to a product for cleaning your car.
Once you’ve decided what fanny deodorant and wrinkle cream to buy you can then select a nice big indoor barbecue to cook your husband’s dinner on before he gets home from work. Slip on your sexy, mushroom, microfibre pants and you’re away!
