I have been in here a few times and it is alright. Inside it is fairly simplistic and pretty standard as would be expected at most Chinese takeaways. The service has always been good when I have been in; the staff are polite and I have never had to wait too long to place my order, or for my order to arrive. The menu has everything on that you would expect too and so I think this place is better for the classic dishes that you like, rather than anything different or new. I think that the food here is good, I have had better in Birmingham, but then again I have also had worst. I usually order a chicken Chow Mein or a Sweet and Sour chicken dish from here and on every occasion they have been good. Overall, a nice Chinese takeaway.

A Chinese Takeaway direct from Central Casting, complete with tired looking interior and a lonely counter in the middle of a shop sized outlet. Don’t let that put you off, though, as this is one of my favourite Chinese Takeways in the area and I’ve been a fan since I lived in B17 in the late 90s/​early 2000s. These days, when we’re over at our friends house in nearby Quinton, this tops my list of suggestions for a meal to share over X Factor on a rainy and boozy Saturday night.
The ingredients are always fresh and the food never has that stewed and over-​cooked feel that you get from some Chinese takeaways. The starters in particular are good, which I think is always a good sign of a decent and caring chef. The prices are pretty much what you’d expect from such a place — around £8-£12 a head if you’re feeling hungry enough for a few courses.

Ok, let’s say the place is not as great as the name suggests. However, in terms of take-​away it is almost justified.
The décor could make you a little wary of the of the place — very simple, even a little run down, with the usual posters and chinese calendar pasted on the wall some chairs in a corner and a window that looks into the kitchen — the classic take-​away.
The food is great. the curry sauce is delicious and the vegetarian yuk sung is always a good choice for a starter. Obviously you aren’t looking for anything spectacular if you are perusing Chinese takeaways, but Splendour ticks all of the boxes in this particular category. Delivery is fast and the price is very good.
While Splendour doesn’t bring anything new to the table it will do the job if you are looking for cheap, comfort food delivered to your door.
