Abends um sieben an einem englischen Airport — ach ja, Birmingham war es. Den ganzen Tag hat uns schon die Costa Gastronomiegruppe convenienced, nun landen wir wieder in so einer Bude — Wetherspoon. Das Bier, bei mir so ein Golden Ale, kommt aus dem Hahn und da kann man kaum etwas falsch machen. Lecker. Das Ambiente ist etwas pubmässig, dunkelbraune Holznoten, bequeme Sitze, aber etwas angegammelt bereits. Bestellen muss man an der Theke, was immer blöd ist, wenn man alleine ist. Lässt man den PC am Tisch, dann muss man immer schauen. Nimmt man ihn zum bestellen mit, dann ist der Tisch vielleicht weg, dessen Nummer man bei der Bestellung angeben muss. Costa-​System — nicht kundenfreundlich, aber wohl günstig. Ich habe ein Pulled Pork Sandwich genommen. in den letzten Monaten habe ich es wiederentdeckt nach einer kurzen, aber heftigen Liebesaffäre (zwischen dem Pulled Pork Sandwich) und mir in den USA Mitte der 90er. Nun ist es zurück in meinem Leben und diese Ausgabe macht eine bedauerliche Figur. Schweinefleich trocken, wo man es doch nur mit einer akzeptablen BBQ-​Sauce hätte pimpen müssen. Die Fritten sind labberig und nur durch das Saucenset zu beleben, dazu ein Minicole Slaw. Und das ganz ruft knapp neun Pfund auf. Uff, zu viel Geld, zu schlecht Essen. Hätte ich mir doch Brote mitgenommen.

This place is a must for me heading off on my travels at stupid O’clock in the morning! You always know what you are going to get with this chain and sometimes that’s nice. It’s good not to have to think too much when you haven’t had any sleep;) I don’t often have a fry-​up, but I always do here. Oh and a pint… sometimes beer, sometimes coffee, sometimes both;)
Service is fairly quick and it’s quiet because they don’t play music. There is also a departure board within the pub area so you don’t have to keep getting up to check for your gate:)

Not bad! We were waiting for the plane quite early on so decided to grab bagels for breakfast! I was charged for a more expensive bagel than ordered but the manager refunded me straight away so no issues there. It was very busy though so it did take a fair while for the food to reach us; though an airport I suppose it’s expected!!!

Nice Restaurant at the Airport in Birmingham. Self service, food will be served after ordering at the counter.
Had some Nachos with hot toppings! Really liked the a lot.

You get what you pay for.

Tried ordering a beef burger but no beef. Settled for Clubhouse with chips. Sandwich was good chips were reheats. Not much choice at Birmingham airport but that said its not the normal venue you would ever recommend to go for a meal so I guess it is what it is

Good selection of beers and the food looked decent as well. Will have to try the good next time I am in Brum. Service was also quite prompt.
