Frankie & Benny’s

Same music, same deco and same menu for soooo many years.
The food here is bland, boring and I have said I won’t go back.

Hmmm, don’t listen to everyone else. It’s pants in here!
The manager used to be a Bulgarian woman who ran a tight ship. I chatted to her on several occasions and it was clear she had a passion for the place and took pride in making sure things ran smoothly.
I’ve been a few times in the last few months and there has been no sign of her, and it shows in the whole place.
I’ve been pretty unimpressed with the level of service on my last three visits, on the last one I couldn’t contain my disappointment any longer and asked for the manager.
My daughter got someone else’s chewing gum stuck on her trousers from the underside of our table, according to the manager there is nothing they can do about that. They check them in the morning and whatever happens during the day is out of their hands. He didn’t even apologise.
We asked for parmesan and more drinks when our meal arrived. The parmesan never arrived, the drinks took 10 minutes (for someone to open a bottle). The management took this more seriously and went to check on the CCTV, pointing out it was only 9 minutes when they came back. Whatever.
Bill time. Cue another 20 minute wait for anyone to acknowledge us. It wasn’t even busy, probably because I’m not the only person to notice the decline in service at this venue.
Anyway, I complained. I got 50% off and a load of vouchers for my next few visits. Thing is there won’t be any next visits, The most noteworthy thing about this place is they pipe through Italian lessons into the toilets, and I can get that from Rosetta Stone without having to contend with shoddy service.

It’s ok in here. Like the other reviews say though don’t expect too much. The breakfasts for a fiver are worth the money and they do £10 for two courses in the week which are ok.
I had crab bruschetta which was not as nice when I came in last year, I also had the meatball calzone which filled me up and tasted nice.
My father-​in law came and went for some pasta dish and also a lasagne.
Both dishes were ok but again nothing to write home about. The service was ok, nothing to complain about.

Been here on multiple occasions and it carries between poor and ok. I think it only survives as the only type of restaurant of this kind in Bracknell. I don’t like it’s chances when restaurant alley opens.
The food again is ok to poor. Sometimes the frankies and bennies standard, other occasions the look of really your serving me a lump of charcoal (bread).
The one thing that continues to let this place down is the service. The very pleasant restaurant manager just can’t make up for her disinterested, slow moving staff and when busy slightly dirty location.

They say that they are Italian slash American diner. I do not like that. It’s like saying we are serving Chinesse and also fish and chips.
The food was good, but there was an evident lack of the ‘WOW’ factor. Having said that, for a starter I ordered some of their seafood selection and it was truly amazing (hence the four stars). The main was emm you know ‘good’.
The décor was nice. The atmosphere was great. The staff was hmmm normal I suppose, once again no ‘WOW’ factor. We had to wait a while for the bill which nearly made us miss the movie. We literally had to chase the waiters to be able to pay. And they were not that busy.
Would I go there again? Maybe. I much prefer Nandos, but Frankie and Benny’s is in a great location when it comes to Bracknell so it’s either this or pizza hut. I would personally prefer F & B over pizza hut. Unless it’s lunch, pizza hut is best at lunch.

Dreadful. Slow Service. Awfully Loud Music. Poor food. They could not even serve ice cream without it already had been melted. My friends have had a similar experience here. This was a few years ago though, so maybe the staff at that time have been sacked.

Poor quality food, badly mixed drinks/​cocktails. The service is ok. Seriously I would not eat here if you paid me to.

Went to Frankie & Benny’s before a bit of bowling at The Point in Bracknell last night, situated near a retail park and a short walk to the town center, and ample parking opposite -(free in the evenings) had not been to one i n a while. It was fairly quiet,
The food was good, i had the chicken Strips for starters served with a red devil sauce, they were real good!
For main, The Frankie and Bennys club sandwich with fries great portion’s
and for desert a fantastic banana cheesecake mmmmmmm.
the service was good to!
the only down side to the evening was that i was thrashed at bowling ;-(
3 course meal and drinks for 2 around £45.

Fun family restaraunt. Good service, good food, yummy cocktails and nice pizzas! music gets a bit annoying tho

Very busy at weekends, I waited ages for a table and then was put by the door — it was freezing, the food and drinks took a long time to arrive, there did not seem enough staff but our server was very friendly and was rushed off her feet.
My pasta was not very warm and the chips were over cooked. I probably would not visit again.

Pros This Frankie and Benny’s is well situated near the centre of Bracknell, close to the cinema and bowling alley. There’s also a huge car park nearby. The restaurant is quite big, with lots of comfortable seating and a good bar. The menu is standard Frankie and Benny’s fare– lots of pasta, pizza and salads, but food is cooked well and served quickly. The staff are always friendly and happy.
Cons There are often a lot of birthday parties going on, which is a negative if you want a quiet night out.

A decent American diner experience. The before 6pm menu offers extremely good value where you can eat three courses for £8.99. The selections is generous, catering for anybody. The food is pleasing as is the service which was especially swift when i visited. It is well positioned in a retail park by the cinema with plenty of parking, treat yourself!

American/​Italian food. Service has always been super slow at this place. Some of the dishes are pretty tasty, like the lamb shanks (although that doesn’t really sound very American/​Italian) but some of the other dishes are hit or miss.

American/​Italian 50s-​style chain restaurant.
Great atmosphere, good food at a reasonable price — pizzas, burgers, steaks, pasta, salads etc.
Staff pleasant and attentive.
Ample parking — situated in a retail park, so you can park right outside.
Recommended.

I was really disappointed with this place. We were left waiting to be seated for ages, even though the place was half empty, the waitress was rude and short tempered.
There was a very loud phone ringing almost constantly behind the bar where 3 or 4 staff members were standing around chatting.
To top it all off the food was quite unpleasant, needless to say, we won’t be visiting again.

We had to wait ages to be seated, it was a big place with lovely décor but it was ruined as the staff talked amongst themselves instead of serving you and the food took ages to arrive and again just average. My pizza was overcooked and favourless and I thought it was really pricey in here.
The bar is quite cosy in the corner, but the seating area is very close together so you feel like your seating on top of each other.
