I run a business and travel all over the UK. This is one of the best sandwich shops around. Had a tuna, lemon and black pepper followed by a pineapple and cinnamon cake(Historic!) It’s not expensive and I will go back soon

A luxury sandwich shop in the heart of the city centre that puts Boots, M&S and even Subway to shame. They sell some fabulous butties at reasonable prices and also offer a wide selection of drinks and snacks and some great home-made buns. I’d recommend asking them to make a sandwich from scratch if you don’t like lots of mayo. They also do the best bacon and tomato sanwiches ever and offer a great selection of fresh speciality breads. They also do soups, jacket potatoes and other hot meals to take out. This is a take out only shop and usualy closed after the lunchtime rush. The shop is almost always busy which is a good indication of the quality of produce this shop sells. i recommend visting at Christmas for some great festive butties.

This is a luxurious type of sandwich shop. They serve some really gorgeous and different sandwiches here with some very unusual fillings. You can even choose your own and if they have the ingredients they will make it up for you. You can choose from loads of differnt breads and fillings. They also do some grab and run sandwiches already made up in the cooler. They do cakes and buns and pastys too which are usually very nice and yummy. Oh and they do salads either one from the cooler or a fresh one if there arent any done for you. The prices are a bit dearer than the normal bakers but you pay for the quality of them and this is top quality. They are lovely. The store is only small and gets very busy and be prepared to wait because if there is a queue and people want things making it takes forever. The staff are lovely and very friendly.

The best sandwich shop in Bradford bar none! The old adage of you pay for what you get is critical here, as prices are dearer than if you plumped for a pre-packed sandwich elsewhere. You’re talking approximately £2.50 per sandwich on average but you won’t be disappointed– the indgredients used and the range of choices are excellent and I can almost guarantee you won’t be hungry afterwards either! The hot sandwiches are great for a change and the cakes are all homemade and gorgeous. Staff are all really nice and have a genuine passion for their jobs.

8 Bank Street, Bradford BD11EE 1274370909 This is at the bottom of town but a bit hidden as its down where most of the shops have shut, but, it is kept busy because it is opposite the telegraph and argus building. If you want a sandwich avoid the peak lunchtime rush as you could wait nearly a hour as most food is made onsight as ordered. They have a good selection of lovely sandwiches already made up for you to grab and run — these are all made on better bread than your average grab and run sandwich and are very nice and fresh. They have more than your average fillings too — they are more adventurous here. You can also choose to have a sandwich made up as you wait — you choose the type of bread from a large selection which arent your average breads. Then you can choose what to put in it — be it cheese and apple to raisin and jam — if they have it they will make it. You can even watch them make it for you. They also do salads and jacket potatoes and quich slices and there is a lot of choice for desserts which look mouthwatering. They also have a good selection of crisps and pops which arent your everyday normal selection — they offer some posh ones too. The staff are lovely and the place is very clean. The prices are a bit dearer than average but well worth it.

Kroustie is so much better than your average sandwich shop. They are more expensive too I have to say but that’s because they use quality bread and ingredients. There are always sandwiches ready made in the cooler cabinet but they are also willing to make up whatever takes your fancy. They have an extensive list of ideas on the blackboard but are happy to make up your own concoction, within reason of course. They have some unusual fillings as well ie Apple and cream cheese on fruit bread(much nicer than it might sound). Their sandwiches aren’t the skimpy little triangles in plastic sleeves though. They are proper sandwiches to keep you going until your evening meal. On top of that they have a warm sandwich of the day for example, chicken and stuffing. There are jacket potatoes with plentiful diversions of gastronomic delights and soup and a roll. In addition to that there are also hot drinks and toast. Two downsides to the place though. They have a glass display cabinet/counter filled to the brim with absolutely gorgeous slabs of cake, muffins and other delectable calorific superstars. These are difficult to resist(a blindfold might come in handy here). The other downside is that it is very popular at lunchtime so if possible order beforehand or get in there before midday.
