The exterior of this place doesn’t do it justice really as its a very warm and friendly place to head for a pint. It has a couple of little covered alcoves outside on the front to keep the smokers dry and happy.
Inside, the first thing you notice is the array of England and Manchester United photos on the wall. So no guesses that they show a good deal of sport here.
The pubs décor is in really good shape, nice wooden floors in the front and rear bar space. There’s pool and darts available but judging by the amount of trophies for each on the shelves, they take the sport very seriously so might be difficult getting a game in the evenings.
Food wise, the menu was basic pub grub but looked very appetizing when I saw someone eat a jacket spud at the bar.

Has benefited greatly from a refurb in recent years. A really nice pub to meet up with friends and enjoy a reasonably priced drink. There is ample seating inside and a smoking shelter outside to protect you from the elements. There are 2 bars, one with a pool table and darts and a pinball machine and another that is more laid back and quiter, ideal for a relaxing drink. Often entertainment and charity fundraisers, a fun pub.
