Games Workshop

This is definitely a niche store. If Space marines, warhammer or Eldar mean nothing to you then you probably won’t get too excited about the shop. These days I wouldn’t either, but as a kid I loved this place.
They sell a lot of metal figures that make up the troops of your army for tabletop warfare. There are also all the paints and products you need to turn them into works of art. I never played a lot of the games and was more into the painting of the miniatures. They always had a good range of fairly cheap packs to purchase with pocket money and you can also get the whole games with everything you need to have a battle.
They host live game nights on the big custom battle ground they have set up in the store and they also host painting workshops for advice. The staff are well into the gaming and happy to advise you of anything you may need to outfit your army or your paint box.
Even if you aren’t into the idea of tape measures to judge how far your grenade went, it’s worth a little window shop to check out the examples of professionally painted figures in a revolving display case in the window. Niche, but kind of cool

The ONLY place to go for any Warhammer and other strategy battle gamer; this little beauty has it all, from single figurines to complete model sceneries and weapons.
The people who run this shop are experts in the field, as are most of the fanatics who regularly frequent the place to stock up on parts. While I was wandering around, a novice father was being shown the ropes as he filled his shopping basket with a Lord Of The Rings beginners kit comprising of sceneries, figurines, cards and paints.
As well as selling the kit, the shop doubles up as a workshop (hence the name), and invites gamers to learn to paint their tiny soldiers at the big table in the centre. There’s a board of events by the counter, advertising gaming trips and in-​store battles, although I overheard the shop assistant telling someone these are worth booking due to high demand.
While I can appreciate the skill and interest involved in these sorts of games, I did find it quite uncomfortable being the ONLY girl in the shop amongst hordes of geeky adolescent boys and balding adult gamers.
Not for me, but definitely a must visit for any self respecting battle gamer.

Nile streets Games Workshop offers above average customer care and sells its wares at the kinds of prices you have come to expect. If you’re not sure what War Hammer is, then you probably won’t be interested in Games Work Shop. For the uneducated, its kind of the modern equivalent of toy soldiers mixed with dungeons and dragons, where you buy models, paint them then send them into battle against friends and rivals armies.
Personally, though I don’t and never have played, the store in the Arcade strikes me as more interesting, as it offers a huge space for combatants to spread out their armies and do battle, as well as offering a mini drinks area and comfortably sized store. That said, Games Workshop has a handful of free services, and have the capacity to (in some instances) order in specific models if they aren’t available off the shelves.

my husband loves these shops brings back young memories for him. they are great shops to have a browse about and pick up little gifts for people staff are always helpful specially if your like me no idea about the items but want to get a gift without someone knowing!

run buy a really friendly guy. great to find presents for my husband in. all sorts of models, paints and books are available. fantastic for adult gamers who like miniature role play games or even children jsut getting started to the hobby. painting table available if you want help wiht painting tips.
